The word "justification" seems a little harsh. In one sense, every piece of tech needs to be justified, yes. But on the other, I'd like to see the justification for _not_ using CAP as a layer upon which to build. Is the intention to just keep reinventing (and supporting) core facilities each time?

Yes, Tom Scott is excellent. But this particular instance is bonkers poor, and I don't remember it being like this (turned out to be at "around 5 mins" for about 40 mins) - it did remind me of the bad old days of when I had to run Windows :-)

There's definitely a middle ground to strive for here; I've read comments in issues and PRs, clearly written by LLMs, and they are so full of flowery language and tangential detail that they're pretty much incomprehensible, and as useless and frustrating as one-liners written by lazy humans.
