using this as the biggest reason to finally disconnect our spare tv from the internet and delete all the apps from it and make it a dumb tv and I was reminded why we shouldn’t have bought it in the first place

Roku TV complaining about lack of an Internet connection. “Your device isn’t connected to the internet. Editing TV inputs requires an Internet connection.”

outsource labor and make them hold up deadlines and quotas to incentivize them to not do their job but LOOK like they are doing their job. outsourcing moderation and administration tools like this is dangerous not only for quality of moderation but also security of the platform. it has been shown

it feels like it's gotten worse and more deliberate in users uploading inappropriate or otherwise inflammatory content to the platform in the months after people started going after them for their shameful moderation practices. They need to hire real humans to do the job, and not just (cont)

i haven't dug deep into the site in months and today was very disheartening. first scroll on catalog you can dress your character up as an ICE agent, that shouldn't be a possibility on a children's platform. and it's not just "oh this got uploaded 5 minutes ago and it'll get deleted" UP FOR MONTHS!!
