Friend & I were at that game. Nosebleed seats in left field. We didn't expect to have tickets so we were underdressed & were freezing our butts off! We learned of tickets 2pm that day. Had to drive from Lehman College in the Bronx to "somewhere in Brooklyn" to get them, to Shea.

David was "one of those guys" I knew about from his minor league guys and expected great things. Given some of the other inductees, I still believe David has a shot at the Hall of Fame! I know many disagree. That's ok. Won't change my opinion.

Good morning #MetsSky. On this date in 1961, ground was broken for the baseball cathedral of my youth, Shea Stadium. Lots of great memories in that ballpark. Two of my favorites were Game 5 of the 1973 World Series and Rusty Staub day in 1985. What were yours? #LGM

I look at it this way. Peralta got us outfielder Aidan Smith, second baseman Émilien Pitre, and pitcher Gary Gill Hill. We'll be better off down the road. Let some other team spend money on Peralta.

Oh Lord, no. $330,000 contract until 2031 - his declining years? No thank you. Let the Phillies continue to pay that burden, along with some of their other bloated contracts. Let them enjoy some payroll inflexibility.

Tampa does have a reputation of making pitchers better, and maybe Peralta just couldn't handle NY. We've seen that for years. It's why I wouldn't mind a reunion with Clay Holmes. He can clearly handle NY.

I'm optimistic for the same reasons, and a couple of the kids they picked up at the trade deadline look interesting. If there is a normal spring training, there will be much to watch #LGM

I watched one of the tracker sites for Alonso & Diaz at end of 2025 season. Within an hour after final game Alonso opted out. That tracker didn't show Diaz until weeks later. Pete was headed out the door at first opportunity. Enjoyed him as a #Met but he's gone. I'll root for the guys still here.
