life has been all work and no play for months so I decided to draw sth for fun...some new yuri (in space) that I'm marinating ft some guy in an inexplicably cool hat who is haunting the narrative for some reason..............

I've been playing this game for ... (checks steam) like 2 years and i know I have no rhythm but the music minigame feels designed to humiliate me specifically. this is supposed to be playable for children

A bit of Imry third-wheeling (worrying about her friends) and also some WeinExarch (I feel sorry for him in this case)

a few different sketches, one of Akiv'a and G'raha cuddling, Akiv'a holding a G'raha minion, and Imry picking up the Exarch looking concerned, and Akiv'a attempts to climb into his lap while she's holding him, apparently not wanting to be left out.

Akiv'a headbutting a sad-looking Exarch to cheer him up, and then stands there with his face in G'raha's shoulder, wagging his tail. Imry looks happy for them.

i can't recall any funny deaths at the moment for that wolqtd but tangentially one of my alltime favorite FFXIV moments was getting my 200k Enemies Killed Achievement during O2S with friendly fire. we ended up wiping that run because we were all laughing too hard.

fun OC character-building exercise: what kind of gamers are they guy who experiences profound feelings of alienation from the rest of humanity voice: idk haha i just think robots are sexy

Some drawings of my OCs Reverie and Helix in a modern AU setting, along with what their hypothetical Final Fantasy XIV Online characters would look like and some quirks of their gaming behavior. Reverie is putting a hand to his head, looking distressed, saying "Would it kill you to keep my HP above triple digits?" Helix looks unimpressed, replying "Did you die, though?"

Under Reverie the text says:

The kind of guy who carries a bunch of minions in his inventory to give to sprouts. Still using the most decrepit keyboard known to man because "it still works". Lowkey just made his crush as a bunny boy. Negative self awareness.

He plays Paladin and Gunbreaker and his character is a male Viera with blue hair that otherwise looks suspiciously similar to Helix.

Helix's text says:

Fantasia'd to Lalafell for PVP reasons and just never changed back. He likes Omega but if you asked why
he'd just say robots are sexy (deflecting). Claims he skipped all the cutscenes but more invested in the story than he would ever admit. Mount roulette just has his 5 rarest mounts for bragging reasons.

He plays Sage and his character is a Lalafell that looks like Omega F, sitting on the Ozma mount.

This one shows my OC Tiziano, an alternate universe version of Helix. He has his back to the viewer sitting at a desk in a dark room, with two large monitors and an RBG keyboard. His caption reads:

Server cryptid. Everyone knows his character name
because he's online almost 24/7. He has a work from home IT Job. Puts up PF for map runs at the same time same day
every week but never says a word in chat. Has all the obscure Deep Dungeon titles. Even the solo ones. Every class (crafters included) at max level. Always wears a hood/mask, no one knows what his character actually looks like (min height F Roegadyn, chosen for proportions/animations)

the main advantage to the glamour restrictions being lifted so far for me is headpieces (my favs tend to be class locked, the SHB PLD one here is a fav as is the Durium Hairpin) and boots, because sometimes tank glams get too busy and it's nice to have more options for plainer boots

After a moment, the shade of Hythodaeus...begins to laugh. Genuine, delighted laughter.

"She would be proud, I think. She always was good at winning debates on a technicality."

The woman who once stood at Azem's side, also his dear friend. Here again, urging him to action, to not sit by complacently, as she always did.

Keten, the Flame, extends their hand, palm up, an offering.

The shade reaches back, hesitantly. "If I were to go with you," he says. "What then?"

Keten looks up. At the darkness of the ocean, just outside the fragile bubble. At the invisible stars beyond.

"Anything at all," they reply.

A bluebird alights on the lamppost above them, unseen.

You were created in this world, and so: you can walk the length and breadth of it as you see fit.

Somewhere above, to the east, in the Crystarium, Keten's other half, a young woman named Imry, greets Ryne and Gaia, with tales of her journey since they last saw each other.

Captain Lyna receives a letter from someone dear to her, as some of her soldiers look on.

Imry turns to look behind her as someone approaches. She waves heartily, to Ketenbraena and their new guest.

Take one step, then another. One foot in front of the other, over and over again. To the ends of the world, and back again.

They surrender to the currents, letting their body fall down into the depths to reach the recreated city of Amaurot. They seem to have no trouble breathing.

Still a bit damp, Keten wanders the streets of the illusory city, stopping to speak with a few of the shades. They seem to be looking for something. They spend some time waiting at the Bureau of Administration, to no avail.

Defeated, Keten goes to sit on the wall by the aetheryte plaza, musing to themself.

"I almost forgot," they think. "They all start repeating themselves after a while. Like automatons.

Why did I come here again? After seeing them as they once were, it's almost...too simple. Too painful."
