Saw a single-car C-Train today - almost certainly a training car. Reminded me of 'back in the day' when on Saturdays, all trains were 2-car, and Sundays were single-car trains.

Spent a few days in northeastern British Columbia with my Dad and Brother. Boys Trip. Amongst other things, did a catamaran day trip to the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary near Alaska, and saw at least a dozen bears. Also had a flock of bald eagles swarmed out boat at one point. Awesome.

Passed 2,000 kms on my bike a few days ago. I took my first ride on 16 Apr 2023. That's 853 days, or an average of 2.3 kms per day, every day of the year, rain or shine. That's Calgary to Vancouver and back. Or, 1/3 of the way across Canada, Pacific to Atlantic. I love biking.

Had a rough day at work, so to de-tox, I went to Sonic 2. Original cart, original console, hooked up to a CRT via composite :) Played as Tails, found a couple of secret paths in Metropolis Zone that I'd never seen before, and trashed Robotnik's round ass in under 2 minutes in Death Egg. Stress gone!

Went for a late evening bike ride. The weather was warm and the bike ride was pure joy. The pic is of my bike with the constellation of Orion in the sky. Can't wait for the warm days where I can lie on some hill somewhere and just enjoy the stars... after biking over to this hill, of course!
