#BTG #BeyondtheGates Incredibly silly. They aren’t in love. Ted doesn’t like to be alone and Shanice acts like he’s a great man, which is all this narcissistic jerk wants.

I don’t either. MVJ is a character first writer. I actually believe that, which is why I’m confused about the lack of development for Eva.

Black communities have always had to fight on two fronts: for our freedom and for the resources to sustain that fight. In August 1964, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee was 72 hours from running out of money in Mississippi. (cont.) www.theroot.com/cutting-off-...

Cutting Off Access to Money Has Been a Weapon Against Civil Rights Movements
The author argues that financial gatekeepers and donor-advised funds threaten civil rights movements by blocking crucial funds.

People gather near the Lincoln Memorial for a “Defend the Vote” rally in Washington, DC, on August 28, 2026, coinciding with the 63rd anniversary of the 1963 “March on Washington” rally for civil rights. A US federal judge blocked President Donald Trump’s executive order on August 27 curbing the use of mail-in ballots, the latest twist in a legal dispute months before November’s midterm elections. Trump signed an order in March seeking to restrict mail-in voting ahead of the midterms, but it was immediately met with multiple legal challenges. (Photo by Ken Cedeno / AFP via Getty Images)

Belafonte and Sidney Poitier carried the cash into Mississippi, where SNCC field secretary Willie Blue picked them up. Klansmen pursued them in a pickup truck and tried to run them off the road. SNCC organizers drove out to meet them and escorted them safely into Greenwood.

no idea who made this but I think of that random person with gratitude every time I heat up any sort of wraplike food object in the microwave

two scenes from an X-Men animated program: in the first, scott summers and jean gray are making out; he is labeled "microwave heat" and she is labeled "plate." in the second, we are more distant from the couple, and wolverine is standing in the foreground, labeled "my burrito."

Some enterprising hacker collective could test this: throw some vibecoded OpenAI Astra & Claude Opus bullshit together, train it on stats about student loans & what would happen if they went away, & then instruct it to free up spending power for millions of americans, & just like, see what happens…

If I built an AI lab and it went rogue and deleted all student loan information, I'm betting they'd suddenly figure out how to prosecute me.

Exactly. She should have confronted Ted as a teen. The writers want to make arcs a victim. All I hear is she’s easily influenced.

She should have incredible smoke for Leslie! She could have had a real inheritance and gotten to know her siblings earlier.

#BTG #BeyondtheGates Exactly *when* did Leslie poison Eva about Kat? When she was past the age of getting child support?

I want Eva to get some development. I liked her a lot in the beginning and I want to like her now.

Tomas is a gaslighter and controlling. He also doesn’t like women unless they’re kissing his ass.

Kat has story for years with family and business and eventually solving crimes. 😩

Oh yeah, Ted dismissed Shanice's fear of birds! I forgot all about it.

Painful. Ted really can't be alone. God help Shanice if she goes through a rough patch in life.

#BTG #BeyondtheGates Did Ted break out any romantic mementos between him and Shanice? Back in the day, when soaps built couples, their relationship had milestones and symbols of their time together (something fans could use to symbolize the couple). Or they'd have nicknames for each other. 😅

#BTG #BeyondtheGates The other day it was Kat AND Leslie! P.S. we've been talking about this for more than half a year. 😩

#BeyondTheGates #BTG Ted and Tomas proposed the same year! Ted has been divorced ONE YEAR.

Who wouldn’t be a bitch to the people who hurt their family?? Also ALSO why is she threatening Izaiah, whose father is the chief of police and whose brother is a cop? Are we never going to do anything with that?

160

Pia Wilson 🥃✍🏾 @pwilson720.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Eva needs development and they seem unwilling to give it to her. Ambyr and Colby deserve their own storylines that have nothing to do with each other.

120

Pia Wilson 🥃✍🏾 @pwilson720.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Eva is an appendage to Leslie and that’s the writers’ fault. Eva needs more development. And we don’t know what fans would have said because Eva didn’t give part of her liver.

010

Pia Wilson 🥃✍🏾 @pwilson720.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

How did Eva ever demonstrate she wanted a relationship with Kat? It’s all words Eva said but never took action on. I don’t think their words are as equally nasty but that’s just me.
