Wrapping up a few things before logging off… one of them is this post. It’s been another great and busy week. Picked up a wedding to edit and a new hype reel. I also wrapped up some social media videos for agencies in the UK and a trailer for a local video game developer.

A nice little dessert beer to cap off the week. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up a One Drop beer. When this one said it had a key lime pie flavour, I had to try it. It’s my favourite dessert after all.

Some good chats throughout the week. Picked up some more video editing work from an agency I work with in the UK. I’ll be working on some social clips over the weekend.

I’ve got a couple of things to work on over the weekend, which I’m also excited to jump into. Sadly, it’s the reason you’re not seeing my screen in this shot as I’m working on them right now.

The biggest decision this week? Which one of these beers to drink first.

It’s been another big week of work. I wrapped up the first cut of the podcast I’ve been working on and so far the feedback has been positive. I’m at the stage of adding b-roll now, which should be completed next week.

Got some great feedback this week. A first cut of a corporate highlight got rave reviews from the videographer. “This is absolutely amazing - I bloody love it - the vibe, pace and music is absolutely perfecto.”

Last week was a bit full on, so this week I took it a little easy. That’s not to say it wasn’t busy. It just wasn’t as crazy last week where I created 11 web pages, edited five AI blogs, put together seven social media videos.

This XPA from Seeker is tasting mighty fine at the end of the week. It’s been another busy one. Mostly booking new work. I’ve got a few social videos I’ll be working on next week with a new UK client.

Enjoying a delicious chocolate porter from Seeker on this cold and rainy day. I’m also enjoying end of another week. A good week. The movie podcast trial was successful. I’ll share my first episode when it goes live. I’ll be working with them going forward, which I’m very excited about.

Well, it’s Friday afternoon. You know what that means. This week has been a smidge full on.

My favourite time of the day. As Will Ferrell once said in Old School “it tastes so good once it hits the lips”. I feel like I’ve earned it this week.

Another week of work that’s been just too sweet. Edited a couple of game trailers. Not fan ones. Currently editing the video version of a movie podcast. Updated a bunch of Prime Day pages. Wrote a couple of guides. Put together a pitch deck for a charity.

Ready for another virtual Beers and Pixel night. Checking out new games from some awesome up and coming devs. Beers and games. Is there anything sweeter.

Been on a bit of a caffeine diet lately. No complaints. I’ve been loving it. Started working with a new client, who I’ll produce a couple of blogs/web pages per week. The first one was positively received, and the second one gets delivered today.

I watch a lot of YouTube. It’s not just the latest game trailers or old SNL skits. I’ve been using it as an educational resource for years, learning how to get better at Premiere, cinematography philosophies and storytelling.

Last night I attended my first virtual Beer & Pixels event for the NSW chapter of the Independent Game Developers Association. It’s a regular get together where developers share their work and get feedback.

This month I’m filming a behind the scenes documentary about putting together my next video game fan trailer. Here’s a sneak peak at the selection process. Which game did I choose? You’ll have to wait and see.

No time for a clever video this morning. Got a bunch of new AI articles to edit and make sound better. I’ve also got to get these articles ready for publishing, meaning adding images, internal links and citations.

I swear I’m working. Today, I’m capturing some gameplay for my next trailer project. The game is Sinew. Odd Critter Games developed it with support from the Australian Government and Screen Australia.

Working through some AI edits this morning. One of my clients keeps a spreadsheet of web pages where the AI has rewritten parts of the copy. I have to turn the slop into something that slaps.

Just wrapped up another project for my regular client. It was an AI editing project. These projects are starting to come in more frequently from a few different clients. For this one, I had 51 pages to review.

It’s nice to be outside again. The last couple of weeks have been a bit rainy, which means my morning routine has been out of whack. I’ve still picked up my trusty coffee, but I haven’t been able to go for a walk to get my head in the game for the week.

A toast… to a pretty good week. Who am I kidding? I was going to have a beer anyway. It wasn’t a bad week, though. I wrapped up a three-month project, finishing 30 web pages. I’m optimistic we’ll work together again down the road.

Thinking about what I want to achieve this week. I’ve got my usual workload from an agency I work for in the US. I’ll be freshening up a bunch of pages, which also involves updating product names, prices, etc.

One page to go Over the past few months, I’ve been working with a US agency to rewrite the content on an Australian gaming website. I had three months to deliver 30 pages, and I’ve been able to finish it in about two-and-a-half.

I started the morning with some great feedback on a piece I recently wrote. It was for a role I’m in the running for. Fingers crossed. It’s always nice getting a note when someone enjoys the work.

Holy moly. It’s been a week. The highlight was the great chat I had with a local publisher about working together. I really enjoyed the conversation and they have commissioned some work, which I’ll do over the weekend.

Well, it’s raining. Again. Every time it rains in the morning, I have to change my plans. Adapting on the fly is something I’m used to doing in my work. I usually start the day with an idea of what I’m going to work on or finish.

New year. New chair. New headphones. I’m starting the year with a couple of upgrades. My office chair broke at the end of 2025 and let’s just say my replacement wasn’t ergonomically friendly. Today is the first day with my new chair, and my back already feels a lot more comfortable.

Officially back to work today. I didn’t really have a break. While I spent a few weeks in Adelaide with my parents, I did some AI editing and wrote a few articles in between delicious home-cooked meals, scrumptious outings, and a wine tasting or two.

Greetings and salutations from Radelaide. I’ve been down here hanging out with the folks, checking out some of the local delicacies, sampling some of the region’s wines, and chipping away at a project or two in between courses.

Here’s a project I work on every month for my main client. I get a list of their 10 most valuable pages and refresh some of the content. Sometimes it’s updating information, such as price changes or new products. Other times, it’s making something sound more interesting.

Here’s a POV of how my Monday mornings normally start. Me just staring at a blank page. Then the coffee starts to kick in and words like these start to come out. By lunch time I’m on a bit of a roll.
