1) we have a hive of field wasps in our balcony cupboard. They are friendly fuckers who are usually very chill to be around ( I can put my hand into the cupboard 20cm next to their nest without having troubles.) Yesterday I made a terrible mistake by watering the plants.

Project cucumber seating. I always feel bad pushing these babies through the tight space but I believe in their strength to grow back to the light 😂 this year I chose a cucumber type that, supposedly, is more immune to heat issues. Fingers crossed 🤞

Dianthus arenarius survived the winter and is having so many flowers, I'm very happy since this one is threatened with extinction. <3 with so many flowers, I can try and gather more seeds this year for further cultivation.

I'm currently at war with a male blackbird that is trying to eat ALL MY WORM FRIENDS (and also uprooting all my baby plants multiple times). we are at a level of grudge where he holds eye contact with me and whenever I turn my back of the balcony, he is here to cause utter chaos.
