#inktober smack Yeah, this is about when my fever arrived and told me what to do with 'smack' in the middle of my solo rpg notebook

One bouquet of nib holders + glass pen - they will live in the sloth jar on the desk. I also have Hocoro holders/nibs, but they will have their own party in the drawer. I don't use the fancy oblique holder much - it's very useful for a lefthander -sometimes-, but maybe mostly for writing.

3d printed punch cradle, bone folder, and...uh...hole punchers? I know the Norwegian word. My head is 99% snot. Hole pokers and cradle are for binding books. The glue and thread must be...somewhere else.

Refills for specific non-fountain pens, mostly for brush pens. Empty cartridges can also be refilled with bottled ink and a syringe, but it's good to have the fast option too.

Spare ink cartridges for Lamy, Kaweco, Pelican, Sailor, and Pilot Parallels. I hope I don't find another stash now that I made these fit so neatly in an old Hachez chocolate tin box.

#inktober cactus ever since the internet revealed all the photos of bobcats sitting on cacti to me I have seen no reason to ever imagine a bobless catcus (the uni pin fine liner brush pen is a good doodler, but also pretty tame compared to the big brushes I've been bumbling with lately)

Uhh I accidentally an indie bookshop sale. Back when I first read Otherworld Barbara it was near impossible to get hold of and I needed mysterious library order shenanigans. Never expected to get to own the hardcovers at half price. Gooch is also a read-already, but worth having within reach forever

I mean, THIS is what the (Norwegian) books looked like in the 90s. The twins look like 30 year olds in a tv soap. I think having slightly cartoony art that ages them down in a She-Ra sort of style is fantastic. I have to look at one of the GNs at the library to see Jessica's chocolate brown room

A lot of the 'trash' middle grade book series I read as a kid have been revived as graphic novels in recent years. It makes a lot of sense for Goosebumps! The Babysitters' Club ones look cute too. I didn't EXPECT Sweet Valley High to join in, but this is so much more charming than the books were?!

"Creativity", like "drawing stuff", has never been gatekept from you. I promise. You just DO it. I do, and no one even pays me for it. Any paper and pen* will do. You can start with just lines. A bunch of straight lines is 90% of the way to pretty much any motif. * /pencil/marker/crayon/stylus/etc

Oh wow. Looked up Stephen Cartwright after seeing mention of his picturebooks, and especially cat illustrations, in a thread here somewhere, and it was so worth it

Difficult to capture in a photo, but this is the ink in an indigo Cambio brushpen (a zig kuretake brand thing, I think? The tip is a weird sponge instead of the bristle on the similar-looking cartoonist pens). Honestly didn't expect this vivid red-blue shift, makes it hard to stop squigglydoodling

Sofie's main friendmaking move these days is to flop over "accidentally" and landing her butt more or less on Her Highness the cat's royal face. It...doesn't go over well, but by now Her Highness has resigned to it enough to make sure I'm Seeing It for a couple of minutes before she flounces away
