Just a couple of months after their debut EP and first ever tour, TAKAAT is back with Vol 2. of their Is Noise 10" series. This time they've reworked a couple of classic Tinariwen songs, done in their own noisy TAKAAT style . This is a one time only pressing of 1000 copies on 10" vinyl.

We asked Ya Tosiba if they had any video content to go with their new release 40girls and they surprised us with a music video for their new single “Durnam”, a first from a Purplish artist. Follow our YouTube channel to catch the premiere of this Wed at 8am ET. #YaTosiba #Durnam #40girls

We first discovered #YaTosiba through a Bandcamp feature and immediately knew we wanted to collaborate. We told them that our artists are encouraged to submit any kind of record, even something totally different from their past work. When we heard the first tracks from #40girls, we were floored.

Since so much of @ipekeginli.bsky.social’s work is improvised, we weren’t sure what her album would sound like—but when she sent us the recordings, we were blown away. Based on the feedback we’ve been getting, we’re not the only ones excited about this one. Order here: purplishrecords.bandcamp.com
