Don't forget, Don the con brags that he coined the term, and relishes that he brainwashed so many people into using it. Very "big lie" stuff. Reminds me of how a Hitler fan/apologist in Thailand has a million flat earthers parroting word usages like "spinning ball" and "indoctrination."

Agreed and to be clear I don't mean only women should be raising their voice, I'm just astonished by how many women die hard supporters act directly in contradiction to their own interest. I wouldn't hire a pedophile to watch my kid for example.

Pro Tip: If you didn't want AI and automation to take your job, ya probably shouldn't have pushed so hard for onshoring of cheap offshore labor that complemented your own. Now it's getting cheaper to replace both the offshore jobs & your own! The saying "careful what you wish for" applied here.

In a population of mostly women (>170 mil), mysognists in leadership roles want to banish them back to insignificant babymakers. Removing all website language celebrating the success of women in industry and science in the name of another 3 letter boogeyman (DEI). Ladies, silence is complicity.

When I first moved to SoFla, no way would I have expected thriving tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, basil, etc outside my suburban home. I have ZERO fear of a freeze killing them. Ate fresh veggies throughout our "winter." Global warming is real and the WestPalm-FortLaud area is a transition zone.

Being able to train a basic ANN model on just one document rocks, but you still need a magnitude or two more of them to train a classifier. If you know, you know. #AItopic

For those brainwashed by the oil industry, what are you going to do when only remaining markets for gasoline vehicles are the United States and destitute countries that can't afford the ones we make? China, Korea, etc are eating our lunch so oil backed oligarchs can retain power. Will be too late.

It's interesting that the conspiracy theorists that claim the United States is a private Corporation or actually kind of getting their wish. I'm referring to Musk takeover.

Then there is the subtopic of how scale matters. The virus flourishes depending on how many viral particles are ingested, sort of like how someone's crop might depend on how many seeds they sow. Once your viral load reaches a certain critical point, the virus can multiply faster than it dies.
000
OlderDogWithNewerTricks @purplesteeda.bsky.social · 13/02/2025
But what I'm referring to most are those that weren't aware I guess that it was to protect the people around you. Whenever you expel viral particles through your breath, coughing, sneezing, or talking, it's embedded in mucus and water. ***Masks are nearly 100% effective at trapping this form***
000
OlderDogWithNewerTricks @purplesteeda.bsky.social · 13/02/2025
You know what I mean, those trying to compare the particle size with the whole size of the Mask and asking how can a mask possibly protect against small particles. That's a related topic, with people that don't understand static electricity and offset layering of fabrics.

And doesn't Tesla get away with not paying any taxes at all even though it breaks in billions in government money? Isn't this just another scheme to fill the pockets of oligarchy? Those of you with empty pockets, silence is complicity. If you're hungry it's going to be because you wanted to be.

Obviously it did not stay free forever. The name changed as well, and there is a Wikipedia page for it. Check out "Phazuul." Many have heard of Silicon Valley but fewer realize that South Florida was an epicenter of social networking advances 30-40 years ago. Related to IBM and Motorola being local.

The first online multiplayer game I played was around 1986, and it was an a Zork-like adventure game called Freezuul. Connection was at 300 bits per second, taking about one full second to display one full line of text. The gameplay was used to test breakthru multitasking software and hardware tech.

Is question 2a to identify those that don't know the topic? Isn't it common knowledge that the United States and many other advanced Nations target 2%? Or did I read this wrong?

Well I'm certainly curious already about the CEOs, particularly since inflation has already begun to rise with the very first measurement of the new term. Higher costs means higher inflation, isn't it pretty straightforward? Now I need to read the article :(

I'm finding a lot of supporters of a particular person talking about how America First on showing a job or mean more American jobs. I'm here to tell you that it means more Automation and AI and maybe more American cost. And a few jobs for people *smarter than those supporters*.

In the era of "coded bigotry," sure seems like faux outrages about "CRT" and "DEI" from people that understand neither appears to be code for "I too want to openly hate minorities and women, thanks Donald!"

And I don't know if you know this but for the first time in over a hundred years not a single County was flipped by democrats. And in seven swing states, 88 counties show manipulation in the vote which fell just barely outside the range for a mandatory recount

'I will always be there for Hunter': Joe Biden's show of support after jury convicts his son
Hunter Biden becomes the first child of a sitting US president to be convicted of a crime after he's found guilty of three gun charges that could see him jailed.

He was in a tough position, because nepotism should not be a thing. And pardoning a family member smacks of nepotism no matter what the circumstances are. But Trump opened that door when he pardon his son-in-law's dad.

Who? The courts? I suspect they would have gone with what is normal for other first time offenders with the same charges. About 92% got prison time and the median time was about 15 months in prison.

President Biden offered Dr. Anthony Fauci and Gen. Mark Milley preemptive pardons (like Ford did Nixon). But Hunter Biden was convicted of all 3 charges on 6/11/24 and pardoned 12/1/24.

To play Devil's advocate, I think the immunity fight last year helped pave the way for this, and the other branch that would normally check the president on what he could and couldn't do and who he couldn't couldn't appoint as in his favor.

I think it's more in nefarious than that and related to personal aspirations. AI has already been coming for people's jobs since the term was coined in 1955. And it's accelerating now due to advances in technology. We warned that onshoring offshore jobs meant automation not more American jobs.

I get an agree with your point, but maybe you should color only the top half of florida. That's where most of the right Wingers are. Here in southeast Florida normal people outnumber those two to one except for Miami which was flipped due to shenanigans.

Notice that they did not cut out the multi-million dollar expense going on today at Trump's own personal resort and at the SuperBowl, charged to the taxpayer. There is no reason for a billionaire president to spend millions of OUR dollars to go to a sporting event and party on the taxpayer dime.

Surely, but Optum was behind CHS which fed systems like AthenaIdx. But now the new processor is called Optum instead of CHS. If this is as I suspect, new insurance cards will say to send EDI to Optum not CHS.

I just found out that there are people nearly 5 years later that didn't know that mask mandates were to catch the stuff coming OUT OF YOU not the stuff coming INTO you. The latter was a bonus. Near 100% efficacy on the former, in spreading the disease.

Do you remember the ChangeHealthCare hack last year that disrupted payments and such from February to October? They are a division of UHC, now rebranded as Optum. From what I understand they paid the ransom and lost the data anyway.

There's a lot of voting discrepancies in swing states that no one appears to be interested in talking about.

Florida versus New York is something a lot of people have forgotten. The discrepancy in education systems came to a head in the 1980s when Florida was caught graduating illiterate college students in the name of football. Eddie Murphy even did a skit on Saturday Night Live and Florida passed laws

OlderDogWithNewerTricks @purplesteeda.bsky.social · 08/02/2025
What makes you think they didn't already do it? Democrats didn't flip a county for the first time in over 100 years and only Republicans slipped counties. There's a lot of discrepancy in swing states where the winner didn't even get 50% of the vote

That is actually an interesting subtopic. Many don't remember that storage was expensive back then, and saving two digits on a date was huge. I made a lot of money remediating code for Y2K for Worldcom and Norwegian Cruise Line and then 80% of retailers (they use the same back end)

In the 1980s I thought I was going to be a gamer, a graphics artist, an engineer of worldwide social media systems. I spent a lot of time on BBSes, some of which myself or friends created. Then enterprise -scale business solutions sucked me in. Logistics, e-commerce, telephony, and now healthcare.

Only if you do it right the first time. And we find that these days, time to Market is more important than doing the right thing the first time for many companies. Of course we also coded in lower level languages back then and paid a lot more attention to what was going on.

Given the positions taken, it sure sounds like make America great again means bringing us back $125 years or so before minimum wages, civil rights, women's rights, and when the oligarchy thrived off of the Poor Man
