Trails 2nd continues to hit for me, though tonight's session kinda broke the illusion that I'd find this game perfect. Chapter 4 is a bit of a drag and the fog is super fucking rough as a mechanic. Luckily, it ends in a way that shattered me emotionally so we cool. It's all good.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter loves to beat me within an inch of my life and 9 times out of 10 I kinda rock with it I can't lie. RPGs with a good set of teeth that feel balanced and not unfair are hard to come by IMO.

The single most frustrating thing about said shoving is right at the end, too. General Scales, the MAIN VILLAIN of the game not getting a boss fight and being hijacked by Andross is unbelievable. Feels like a last ditch effort to make the Star Fox part of this relevant, and it does NOT work lol.

Finished Star Fox Adventures. Honestly, a shame that the final act gets so rough because there's a solid base here. Sure, it's not actually a Star Fox game and the combat/story are lacking, but I think if Rare wasn't being sold to Microsoft while this was being made, it could've stuck the landing.

For a company that loved to implement shooting sections in their games it’s a damn shame RareWare never made a good shooting control scheme though. These late game defense sections are hitting their trademark “how did you expect kids to beat this” level of difficulty.
