Across India, children are being exposed to toxic lead through turmeric. A new study published in Nature, with contributions from researchers at Pure Earth, analyzed turmeric samples collected across 5 states in India. Of the 503 samples tested, nearly 30% exceeded India’s permissible lead limits.
