Mirroring what some others have said - make a sketchbook that has no expectations of being good. Do drawings that aren't meant to be good or finished and are just to experiment. Some days just draw what makes you happy, whatever that means.

In my experience the pups have generally been more open and friendly to get to know than the furries, that could be my entirely subjective experience though. I guess cos pups did technically come from the leather and kink community, furries might look down on the 'sexualised' nature of it?
