Without spoiling, I can not stress how awesome it is to have a protagonist like Dylan Faden. I'm kinda tired of the "Cool Badass Stoic Guy" shit you get from so many male protags, that it is genuinely so nice to have such a soft, awkward, and just pathetically wet (positive) character.

53 years. It took 53 whole years from 1963-2016 before anyone built a larger single aperture telescope. It was such a genuine feat of engineering, and true love of sciences. Now it's just rubble... It's genuinely makes me stupidly emotional to think about.

Like you’d think speech therapy or coaching would only be necessary if u have a speech impediment but I promise you it is, genuinely so helpful on a day to day. I still fuck up a shit ton esp if i’m speaking one language the whole day then switch to another. But it’s fun! Language is fun.

I admit this is very much so just a me thing I gotta get over but it is OUGH. I think one of the curses of being in speech therapy as a kid is that you realize Everyone Would Benefit From It Actually. (I had a horribly aggressive lisps and accent when I started speaking English when we moved)
