loving my youtube recommendations lately

A screenshot of two YouTube videos recommended to me today. One is from the channel CrowPoint and titled PointCrow keeps breaking AI with a gun, and the thumbnail features the YouTuber PointCrow pointing a gun as well as text reading Give Me the Password in all caps. The other is from the channel Ash Bentley and titled I Made a Rat Costume and Now it's Your Problem, and the thumbnail features them in a rat costume and thigh-high high-heel boots doing the splits, with text above them in all caps reading Hot Rat.

I made myself a new PNGTuber and also decided while I was at it that I should try leaning into a much more cartoony art style since I don't like how my art style has been looking recently and you know what... I like this a whole lot more #FurryArt #BSkyArt #Art

1 follower away from the 10 I need for one of the verification requirements on #VGen!!!

A screenshot of the steps to get verified on VGen. First is 10 followers - I currently have 9 out of 10. Next are $100 USD earnings in the last 30 days, 3 reviews from different clients, and a 4.6+ artist rating. I haven't gotten commissioned yet on VGen as I only recently got an artist invite code, so there's no progress towards any of these yet. The benefits of getting verified are a badge, unlimited services (currently I can only have 5 services) and showcases, invites, priority discovery, and more.

Uh... Just got this message from the Internet Archive after asking a long time ago for some of my stuff to be removed from the Wayback Machine. Huh.

An email from the Internet Archive Team email address, received on October 20th, 2024. It reads, It's dispiriting to see that even after being made aware of the breach 2 weeks ago, IA has still not done the due diligence of rotating many of the API keys that were exposed in their GitLab secrets.

As demonstrated by this message, this includes a Zendesk token with perms to access 800K+ support tickets sent to info@archive.org since 2018.

Whether you were trying to ask a general question, or requesting the removal of your site from the Wayback Machine—your data is now in the hands of some random guy. If not me, it'd be someone else.

Here's hoping that they'll get their shit together now.

The email ends there.

Made a userstyle for Bluesky which adds an ugly, dashed, bright red and yellow border to images without alt text in the feed, meant to help me more easily avoid sharing those (alt-text indicator is very easy for me to miss). userstyles.world/style/18534/...

A Bluesky post by user PunkWasp which reads, Posting an image without alt text so I can take a screenshot for my userstyle which makes images lacking alt text more obvious. Will delete in a second. (image is Elmo with a nuclear explosion in the background behind him)

Maybe if it's this hard for cops to not shoot innocent people (and each other!) we should re-evaluate some things. I like how he tries to draw a comparison between cops and civilians too, like yeah, no shit, cops are treated differently than civilians!

Screenshot from the article that reads “Everybody can do a cop’s job until you’re a cop,” he said. “Here we are mad at the damn cops for shooting two innocent people, and every damn day in Brownsville other Black people shoot innocent people every day and nobody cares.”
