In conclusion. Eat the rich. Thank you.

But that work isn't seen as "Real Work" because it doesn't make money for the already wealthy. CEOs can"t profit off your labor if you're using it to benefit your own endeavors and contributing to your community. So no. Lazy isn't real. People do work all day every day. It's what we do.

1150

This is your regular reminder that "Lazy" isn't real and they are shaming you into handing over your labor when you are clearly burnt out. If Covid taught us anything it's that when people aren't forced to produce for the Capital classes profits, we worked to improve ourselves & our communities~

Fun Fact: any decently large piece of fabric you have laying about can be worn as a kilt... Not so fun fact: Pleating without plaids for reference fucking sucks lol Conclusion: If you wanna wear a kilt, wear a kilt. I'll hear non of that self body shaming bullshit in this house.

Doubled down on my freight slinging schedule for the week. Always swore I'd never do overnights again, being almost 50 & working manual labor overnights is rough on the bones. But it be what it be. We do what we have to to survive this fuckshit economy. Just trying to find some joy along the way.

Painting condition markers is only fun for the first 20 of them 💀 You can grab your own set of 16 at www.tabletoptinkering.com with the knowledge that they're lovingly (with a bit of swearing) hand painted

Blue, pink and yellow rings half painted with words like 'prone' and 'concentrating' on them

Or, this being the internet and all I could go full smutt to reach my silly goals. Posting some interesting photos on that...other page I have. But that would never work, right? 👀 NSFW- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Let go your Fathers expectations and criticizms. The things they packed for you can be set down beside your path. Leave them in the dust of yesterday to rot and wither away as you move forward. Don't let the ghost of a dead man be a weight that drags you down. Be free of it.

The space in my soul once filled with my Fathers derision and dismissive condemnations is dying, I can't even remember his voice anymore. All I hear is the joy of the childhood dreams he tried so hard to kill. ~

It has been such a long time and I barely even registered it. While repetitively stacking boxes at the freight slinging job, by brain found a beat buried in the sounds of the machines and conveyers around me, I caught myself writing lyrics in my head. ~

To those who came before me. I'm not who I am because of you. I am who I am IN SPITE of you. I'll never let them forget it. I'm a loud and constant reminder of all the times they failed to mold me in their selfish, entitled and bigoted image. You tried to crush me but only made me stronger.

080

Outside of that I probably won't be doing as much new work as I have been. I have a pile of stock stuff I am trying to find homes for as well as the few custom orders I have going. I always swore that I would never do overnights work again, but I guess the universe had other plans for me lol

Been obsessed with the Banjo for years and I think it's time I learned. So my next few sales/commissions will be working towards that goal. Put an banjo on my Throne list and started to fundraise over on my ko-fi as well. It will happen when it happens and I am excited at the thought of it.

I have found that I now have the time to get back to music again, been playing the guitar more and more these past weeks. Rebuilding that muscle memory and finding the joy it once held for me which is awesome. hoping to expand on that with learning a new instrument. ~

1160

I don't feel like I have lost anything. As a matter of fact this is going to make the pieces I make whether they be stock or commission even more impactful for me. I may come back to it full time someday, god willing and the creek don't rise. But for now it is what it is. ~

1170

I have to look more towards survival than fulfillment these days. Not closing the shop, not giving up the dream. But defiantly scaling back. Still going to make one off pieces and custom commissions, but not at the level I was operating at. ~
