Also here are some awesome character designs in a wonderful reference sheet format, created and illustrated by @irlbirdreal.bsky.social for my fanfiction series :)
A character reference sheet laid out like an LCARS panel. It features Maxwell Lane, a Human Starfleet Lieutenant donning a red uniform. He stands in a heroic pose, resting a phaser rifle on his shoulder.A character reference sheet laid out like an LCARS panel. Haven't rendered something just for fun in a while! Here's Star Trek Online's USS Enterprise from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. SNW Constitution-Class by @ramonmatas.bsky.social ! (based on the Discovery-Era model by Donny Versiga) Shuttlecraft by me :)
A view from the ventral starboard angle, looking from the fore of the ship. The USS Enterprise (from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) hangs in space. It's shuttle, the Alvarez, flies next to it. A faint blue nebula can be seen behind. The scene is lit by a distant orange-yellow star and blue light. An overhead view of the USS Enterprise (from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) with its shuttle, the Alvarez, flying beside it. one fun thing @irlbirdreal.bsky.social did for me is fill out the decorative d'k tahg shop's stands (that are obscured by Fred) with some fun props
An unseen part of one of the images in the parent post. There's a rack on the left with 3 collectible d'k tahgs - a Swiss Army d'k tahg, a keychain d'k tahg, and a fidget spinner d'k tahg. On the right is a shelf with a Discovery-styled d'k tahg, a karambit d'k tahg, and a wooden stunt d'k tahg.

This guy is named Fred.
A young Klowahkan with blue plumage wearing a reddish shirt watches over the skies of Klowahka, similar to the skyline we see in Star Trek: Lower Decks. There's a floating restaurant in the background, like on Lower Decks. The same Klowahkan, now older, walks through a bazaar or street at night, dimly illuminated by a street lamp. Behind him is a d'k tahg shop, as well as a stand advertising Human-Klingon Fusion Cuisine. All the shops are closed at this hour. The location resembles Tulgana IV, from Star Trek: Lower Decks. The same Klowahkan, older still, wearing an orange jumpsuit, stares out of a window. A dark-skinned hand, and the webbed hand of a Zaldan are also pressing up against the glass. In view, we can see the surface of Mars and an orbital station in the distance. Phaser fire is raining from unseen satellites above. There are explosions across the surface of Mars and on the station. Blurred and indistinct, a few of the Mars Defense Perimeter ships can be seen incoming. An A500 Synthetic Labor Unit and a Starfleet officer can be seen floating outside. This depicts a scene from the Synth Attack on Mars, from Star Trek: Picard's first season.A Class C shuttlecraft, labelled AGRS T-67-A, blazes past with impulse engines firing plumes of exhaust. An ominous orange glow is seen from just out of frame.

When I'm not working on Star Trek for my job, I work on Star Trek fanfiction in my own time. Here's some art I had @irlbirdreal.bsky.social illustrate for me, as well as some I made myself, and some we made together!
Two Starfleet officers point their phasers down a corridor into a turbolift. The corridor is decrepit, sparks raining down. Within the turbolift obscured by smoke and silhouetted is a shadowed figure. They look like they're holding a phaser towards the two officers as well.Someone phasers themselves in the head from a maintenance room down a starship's corridor. The phaser blast is bright, casting their silhouette down the corridor in an orange glow. Two officers are working at panels next to the maintenance room door, while closer to the point of view are a Vulcan (armed with a Type III-C Phaser Rifle) and a Benzite (with breathing apparatus). Both have darkened veins across their skin - this image takes place on a starship during Frontier Day as depicted in Star Trek: Picard season 3.An Edison-Class ship mid-explosion.

K'vort head changes vs the normal B'rel:
All the greebles that sit on top of the B'rel head were appropriately scaled down
And some of them duplicated to make it seem as if there's more space for more machinery
Added a bit more panelling
Divided some existing panelling up into more, "smaller" panels.
Also divided up stuff like the lights around the torpedo tube hole!
Re-scaled all the windows
Added more windows
Redid the torpedo launcher hole - now there's a triad of launch tubes!
Re-scaled the piping around the rim of the B'rel
Re-uved stuff to make some details repeat between the smaller ship and the K'vort less

(also shoutout to art lead Phil who actually put it on the schedule!)

As art evolves, things change! I believe S4S6 was cut from the final edit - with just one shot of Klingon K't'ingas in formation. One detail I had to make sure I included was the arrowhead on Klingon disruptor fire, seen in Star Trek III. It ended up less clean than I'd've liked, though.

speaking of Stargate i built a ZPM (zed-pee-emm, of course) a week ago. no idea what was the deal with Atlantis having so much trouble with these to start 🙄 i love bluebrixx btw
A ZPM (zero-point module) as seen in Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, built out of legoesque bricks (BlueBrixx, in this case). If you haven't seen a ZPM before, it sorta resembles one of those salt lamps, but way more orange, and made out of stained glass. You can see red and green bits of stained glass made outta bricks on this guy. It's on a black brick-built stand with a miniature eponymous Stargate and a lil placard. All of that is balanced on a makeshift plinth out of two plastic cartons because the USB cable powering the lights in the brick ZPM was kinda short, and the base of the ZPM itself was too fragile for it to stand on. It's pretty cool. I miss when BlueBrixx had the Star Trek license. Four hundred United States Dollars for an Enterprise-D? With stickers? BlueBrixx would never. You can barely see it, but there's a BlueBrixx made Type 3 Phaser Rifle from Star Trek: First Contact behind the ZPM, just out of frame. That had no stickers, and you could open the power cell, flip the foregrip, remove the sight, open the innards, all that good stuff. I worry Lego ain't gonna make anything besides the -D and the original 1701 before leaving the license to dry, honestly, and I doubt they'd ever have the range BlueBrixx did. Doubt they would've made a life-sized phaser or disruptor replica, for instance, or a functioning d'k tahg. I don't think Lego "does guns" or whatever. Also BlueBrixx's big-ass ships barely had stickers. I think the Defiant and minifig-scale runabout did out of necessity (decals across multiple parts), but that was about it. There's also a little gold model of the original 1701 behind the ZPM. That's an Eaglemoss model, it's in a plastic case for its own protection. Speaking of which, I could go on a whole goddamn rant about Fanhome and their abysmal lack of international availability, especially compared to MasterReplicas, but I'm running out of space in this alt text. At least it's entirely descriptive of the image. And also my emotions.

i'm probably in the minority but i really love how crazy VFX shots in Disco S1 looked. it has unmatched personality and direction while future shows all felt "standard", so to speak.
The USS Discovery hangs in space. Everything is tinted an odd yellow - like that of unhealthy urine. Mysterious lens effects and a coating of chromatic abberation gives undefined points of interests across the frame. The lighting on the ship itself glares brightly, emphasizing the metallicity of the hull.A Vulcan Solkar-Class cruiser tumbles away into space. It's full of nebula in R, G and B, with repeated patterns as if done by digital brush strokes. It feels both saturated and desaturated. The USS Discovery is silhouetted by a blindingly bright sun. The saturation of the star has drowned out all detail on the Discovery as heat distortion blurs it - only the blue-turned-purple warp grilles stand out, as well as a few windows. The USS Discovery hangs in space. A dense starfield behind it. Mysterious light sources illuminate the hull, ranging from brownish-bronze to light bronze. The nacelles glare so intensely that the warp grilles have extreme bloom. Almost no details can be seen on the underside of the saucer besides illuminating lights on stark metal hull, and the ship's name.

The USS Trieste, an unused background kitbash model meant for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It is on a workbench next to a stack of model kit boxes. An Excelsior-Class is on the bottom left, out of frame. The Trieste contains of a Miranda-Class saucer with extra greebles added, as well as an assortment of windows. It has two Galaxy-Class style warp nacelles, at a much smaller scale, for propulsion. An observatory/cannon implement is located on the impulse deflection crystal and on the bridge.
