Holy is the lighthouse Monkish keeper Yellow-bright in the fog of night Beam catching on a far off ship's #sail Sweeping it in gently It is a fragile thing To cross waters so wide The fish it carries To feed a village entire #vss365

An orange tabby approaches on a cobblestone road, the shadow of my silhouette faintly visible.

Are we in the eye or on the other side? A #hurricane tore me from your arms or you from mine Who's to say? Semantics don't soothe the aching weight of the gulf of empty space Still my heart feels yours alive A mysterious sense science can't yet explain We'll weather it apart together I pray #vss365

Blurry shoplights at night through a rain-speckled windshield.

Morning naps (Don't worry, the dog's guardian grabbed a coffee and came right back 💜)

A tan and white dog naps on the sidewalk by a tree waiting for her human.

A ladybug naps inside the yellow petals of a flower.

Red glass jellyfish floating in and out of the North Atlantic ocean murk Cede the limelight to starfish in a tidepool One iceberg wanders closer wades into the #harbour An acquaintence overstaying an invitation to afternoon tea Nan sets out more cookies and cakes Sunday we do no laundry #vss365

A porcelain teacup with saucer filled with dark gold tea is next to a small plate with a half-eaten cookie on it. The teacup and saucer are covered in painted red and pink roses.

Hunter beware Your prey stalks you Here with a lock of hair Drops of blood on a leaf a #lure Ambition pulls you deeper Tightens at your neck You foam at the mouth Salivate with anticipation over your own superiority You are the weakness in your herd Your hubris catches up with you #vss365

Close up of rain-soaked red leaves against a background of leaves that are still green.

This was the right path I thought Followed its siren song where there Home carved itself out in me rooted me to the plateauvalley like a tree Everything is Fine Hibernate my veins sigh Hibernate But I can't abide the flat plane so looked to the sky the #mountain peaks still beckoning #vss365

A sliver of out-of-focus blue sky visible behind a jumble of leafy green plants on a windowsill.

It was everyone's game; Extended family forming a wide berth Close family looking outward The dark #cloud no one's responsibility (That's a good word) Responsibility fell to the rain grey slow-bleeding away until suffused with colour in sunset flames #vss365

Clouds stretching out over a blue sky behind powerlines and the crown of a tree.

Scout rested his face in my hand like this for over a minute, purring the whole time. He just wanted to sniff my supper while I gently supported his head. Then he left to take a nap. スカートちゃん可愛い今日も平和だったおやすみ
