So the bar fills when people pre-add or pre-save... so what will the countdown be to? More variants? A lead single? Merch? Something else?

Screenshot from Taylor Swift's website showing a bar filling with orange glitter. It is not very full yet. Above it, there is text that says, "Unlock the newest countdown page clip from The Life of a Showgirl" with two links encouraging people to pre-save the album on Spotify and pre-add the album on Apple Music

Just got reminded that this photo of Taylor's grandmother is in the Anti-Hero music video and have realized that because her grandmother was an opera singer... she kind of was a showgirl. ... so could some tracks on this album relate to her? 👀

A black and white photo of a woman with short styled black hair. She's looking away from the camera. The photo is about shoulders up.

I got my screenshot before the site even loaded 😭 here's it with the gold background

Screenshot from Taylor Swift's website showing a glittery gold background with dark red text on it. It is a countdown that will end at 4pm on August 25th

Taylor Swift has changed her profile photo three times for this era. I think this is a hint at a theme to be explored on the album:

Taylor Swift in a bedazzled silver top while mostly underwater

Taylor Swift in a black/red bedazzled bodysuit with matching gloves leaning forward against a wall

Taylor Swift and several other women in silver showgirl outfits with large yellow feathers with spotlights in the background

There's something... familiar... about these glittery countdown backgrounds 🧐

Chart of 1989 set combos from Taylor Swift's Eras Tour
Along the top and left edge, the colors pink, orange, gold, green, aqua, and purple are listed. Throughout the chart are pictures of Taylor Swift on stage wearing a crop top and a skirt matching those listed colors, including the shows the outfits were worn at

I really want the countdown to be for a single announcement, so here's my theory: the purple deluxe CD variant included a necklace that has the song title "Actually Romantic" on it!!

Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl "It's Rapturous" deluxe CD variant

CD case with Taylor Swift on the cover. She's wearing a burlesque style outfit, large feathers, and a black wig. Her hands are on her face with her fingers parted at her eyes. The lighting is green. The text on the cover includes the album title in a light bluish purple color. Behind the CD case, there's a peak at some photos and a box showing part of a gold necklace. The charm is an envelope with another charm attached that has "actually romantic" engraved on it.

Okay, which track do we want as the lead single? Or which do we think we're getting? 🧐 I'm thinking we'll get either Opalite or Ruin the Friendship!! ❤️‍🔥

Back cover of the CD edition for Taylor Swift's upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl. There is a CD with the title and a green background peeking over the top. The back cover shows a white woman shoulders-up dress in silver with a decorative feathered headdress. There is orange lighting.

The tracks are overlaid:
1. The Fate of Ophelia
2. Elizabeth Taylor
3. Opalite
4. Father Figure
5. Eldest Daughter
6. Ruin The Friendship
7. Actually Romantic
8. Wi$H Li$t
9. Wood
10. CANCELLED!
11. Honey
12. The Life of a Showgirl (feat. Sabrina Carpenter)

Now that I have been made aware of this, I am more convinced that the deluxe CDs countdown is doing double duty. I'm calling an mv announcement tomorrow when that countdown ends!!

Screenshot of a tweet that reads "has anyone caught this ?? it's literally the thumbnail too... #TSTheLifeofaShowgirl"

There are two attached pictures. One is a zoomed in version of the other. It is a screenshot of the thumbnail for Taylor Swift's I Can Do It With A Broken Heart music video showing a group of people putting their hands together in a circle. I the background, thee is a sign that reads "A-12 & A-16"

... am I crazy for wondering if this is a countdown to anything else? because, like... we all knew the deluxe CDs would sell out long before 72 hours (aka *3* days) passed
