A protected bird was deliberately killed. The cruelty caught on camera is difficult to watch. Yesterday, at Ħal Farruġ, a hunter was filmed killing a Kestrel, a protected species. The footage shows the kestrel being held under the hunter’s foot until it takes its last breath. youtu.be/NW7JqWHcnqA

During the green deal, the farm lobby killed the attempt to reduce farmers dependence on nitrogen fertiliser. Now the EU just spent 540 milion €, in one go, on extra fertiliser subsidies. This is money taken from taxpayers and handed to Russian and Gulf regimes.

The EC is pouring 540 million euro into fertiliser subsidies. In one go. The EU LIFE budget for all ecologically related projects is under 340m euro this year. Nicely captures everything that is wrong with our policies that promote crisis situations instead of preventing them.
