If that’s correct, then fair enough. I find it curious that none of the media reports I’ve come across have said “England and Wales”. I’m aware Scotland has a different model but have only heard England mentioned.

Great - so the money saved from Welsh pensioners can be used to help pay towards social care in Wales then?

I really like him, and think he did a great job in Greater Manchester, from what I saw (my daughter lived there for a couple of years), but I sadly think you might be right. I still have high hopes, but hope he doesn’t fuck it up.

My favourite Bruce album. And responsible for turning my older brother, a committed Dylan-fan, who never got Bruce’s work. I bought Nebraska for him, he listened, then did his own homework. The last tour, he came with me. He’s one of us now. Thanks Bruce. 🙏🏼👏🏼

Did anyone ask him what the impact will be on Welsh pensioners being drawn into the change to the triple-lock to help fund the new “national” care programme for England? Smacks of the HS2 fiasco to me, but I’m no expert and happy to told I’m wrong.

Was he there trying to nick some red diesel too? You’d think he’s wealthy enough to afford it from a proper pump, wouldn’t you?

Minor point - the change in the triple-lock will affect all pensioners (England, Wales, Scotland and NI), but the “national” care programme with only be for England. So, a bit like HS2, then…. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

I hate to be picky, but that’s meant as a direction sign, the arrows need to be pointing the other way….. going West from the NS puts them all straight in the Taff.. 😉👍🏼

….”but Whately commented in her maiden speech as MP that it instead incentivised her to pursue a career in which she could improve healthcare as a whole.” Translation: “not clever enough to follow the family business”

I always think it’s been kind of Reform to set Leila Cunningham loose on the media as she somehow manages to make Whately look smart!!

I’m very old, and this is very controversial, but - for me - Edwards’ try against Scotland is better than “that” try…. 🫣 (Grabs coat and runs away).

Robert Pugh 💙🖤☠️🏴‍☠️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏉 @pughrob.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Well - yes, but then she does have history, having jumped from the Conservatives to Reform. So who knows how long she’ll stay in PC before the next hop (Restore? Labour? Binface?) 🤷🏼‍♂️🙄

And just for a cheap laugh, Sarah Cooper-Lesadd has jumped ship to Plaid Cymru, because Reform has “no interest in Wales”. 🙄

Imagine how I felt 6 years ago when I read that The Beatles’ Sgt Peppers album (that I’d listened to almost my whole life) was recorded closer to the START of the FIRST world war, than today! We efinitely need a functioning Tardis, and quickly.

I’m blessed to have seen both Thin Lizzy and Rory. When I look back at film of Rory playing live, I always imagine he’d have played those shows for free - just for the love of playing & singing….

As a life-long (60+year) South-Terracer, and huge Gareth fan, I still think a Thomas trumps an Edwards…. But still a huge honour and I look forward to seeing his name every time I’m there.

From what I read on here and other SM platforms, there are plenty of “experts” who have all the answers. So I’d imagine they must be awash with applicants! 🤦🏼‍♂️

He (Mangobaby) has a referee’s costume, hasn’t he? I bet he walks around the West Wing cosplaying in it and blowing an Acme Thunderer at every poor bastard who works there….. probably even Melania. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Are we seeing this as a similar situation to Halfpenny’s presence last year? Maybe get a couple of games, but essentially acting as a coach/mentor role? Surely that would be huge for the likes of Mann, Botham, Basham, Lawrence, etc?

And the £5m??? He repeatedly refused to explain that, and why he didn’t declare it, when he clearly should’ve.

This is on top of the £1m+ he’s earned from his GBNews show of course, and the other 8-9 jobs he has - most of which gets paid through the company he owns so he’s only taxed at corporation tax rate, not income tax. Legal, for sure, but shows he’s absolutely not “one of the lads down the pub”.

My stepdaughter lived in Altrincham for 18 months and really enjoyed most of it. The council really needs to do something about the potholes though - they’re worse than Newport, and that’s saying something!! (And fair-play to Andy B, the tram system is excellent).
