Slogan or not, the truth hurts. As the bodies pile up, the people who choose to be offended will have to face reality one day.

Problem is we are seeing what Zionism does in practice, which is that it displaced non jews to create this Jewish state, which works well for right wing ideology. But for Liberal Zionist it seems to be a fantasy with solutions that doesn't resonate in current Israel, unlike rightwing nationalism.

The EUs walk back on banning ICE cars in the future doesn't inspire confidence. Meanwhile China continues to tighten the rules further even requiring EVs to get better.

Unfortunately in practice Zionism fits really well with right wing nationalistic ideas of having a dominant race and religion. Where as Liberal Zionism fails to provide a clear alternative to how Jews and non Jews are suppose to live with each other in a Jewish majority "homeland".

And i wonder if they are willing to make a loss selling these things or not, but would be indicative over the overspend and minimising the losses.

Me thinks we need a battery like rebate program for ev trucks to get this ball rolling.

You know I keep coming back to the crypto craze, so much belief in a big pay off for those who have invested so much into it. But so many are going to get burned, and it really doesn't matter how good the technology gets, the economics have to work at the end of the day.

Same problems, nothing to do with whether its EV or not. Any modern EV battery that is useful will be used one way or another though, it wont be sitting around doing nothing like an engine.

Last time this was brought up to me, in regards to second hand, well how is this any different to replacing an engine, which is not likely to last any longer.

Never mind past mines and pits. Just ask these people what their alternative is, and its going to be very uncomfortable and hypocritical for them to answer, given their apparent concern for land.

A 2 to 3 hour trip is when you should stop and have a break anyway, which is why this isn't an issue for me. If its a destination, that's when their should be easily accessible places to plug in. Having the higher range i think is really only important for towing, otherwise its not necessary.

We really need a war time or covid like emergency mentality to electrify, but its like half the country is stuck in another era where they think there is no alternatives still.

What pisses me off, is we are wasting so much resources on this, when we could have done some much more important things, like rolling out clean technologies much faster.

I am getting the impression they just don't care about if this doesn't make money, they want their "super intelligence" that they dream of from scifi movies.

Well you see darling, we have better alternatives these days, but for some reason they still want to convince us that its a brilliant idea to continue to extract resources and waste them by burning them off, just so I can pick you up from school!

The crazy thing, which is what is causing many to look away from the US is that Trump doesn't even honour his own agreements.

It seem like conservative are fully embracing facism at this point, wanting to teach our children to be ethno\religious supremacists, and to trash the planet, because they can't admit that their economic ideology is a failure.

Theirs alot of faith being put in this technology, yet it is so undefined, all we see is eye watering numbers for potential power usage in the data servers. Yet what is it all for? Some belief a super intelligence is going save the day, seems quite cultish if you ask me!

I read that Astra used 100K GPUs to train, and theirs plan to use 400K in future. Yeah these costs aren't going down any time soon!

I always thought that the energy numbers of 10gw or so being stated for these data centres were way too large for them to be economically feasible. The energy has to come from somewhere, it can't be all built anytime soon and is just more costs that has to be repaid somehow.

Actually solar is delivering power quite predictably in SA and In Australia, even when wind is quite low, that's why the race to get more batteries to soak it up is crucial, and has already displaced gas by quite a bit.

They don't actually care about antisemitism, which shouldn't be surprising, because its entirely consistent with their ideology. What they say about antisemitism is just for suckers and supporters of Isreal.

600 million litres of fuel is the equivalent of 15,000 petrol tankers⛽️ or enough to circumnavigate Australia nearly 143,000 times (and that’s if you take the scenic route 🐨). But it’s much more than just another number. Swipe to see how saving this fuel impacts all of us. 🚙

So many prominent Israeli figures saying they want to genocide the Palestinians. I think it is fair to call all supporters of Israel as genocide supporters at this point.

The Bondi attack made our politicians bend over backwards for a genocidal state. Just how far do we humiliate and destroy our laws and beliefs in human rights for a minority who are in denial of what Israel has become. We would never do this for any other country.

Given that the expenses of the AI companies are too high already, I have no idea how and who is going to afford to pay to use all these data centres that are planned to be built. The government is literally the only one who can from what I can see.

Lol even the conservative press in Australia is losing their mind over this, truly a echo of the US. The problem they have is once you have seen Hasan speak for any decent time, you know he isn't some crazy person they make out to be.
