nobitas art world tales is a lovely movie, the story and animation are great as always with these doraemon movies, but the moral was what really got me. literally saw myself in nobita, and it reminded me why i even draw in the first place. go give it a watch, its genuinely lovely if you make art

this is made even more obvious since the last unlockable in the game is "motor toon grand prix r" which is basically a unique game mode with more realistic vehicles and handling. it's polyphony (or polys at the time) of saying "hey so uhhhh we actually want to make this y'know"

yes the game is very good and it's cartoony look and colorful graphics are charming, but it was quite literally proto gran turismo with kart racer elements, they just couldn't do it because sony saw the project too risky at first, so they tried doing it in a kart racer since they were popular
