When studying folklore I enjoy theorizing explanations for the legends. Sometimes it's funny— ancient Greeks mistaking elephant skulls for Cyclops. Like have you seen elephant skulls?? Sorry Wendigoon, I think this is why ancient people thought there were giants..

Have you ever checked your porch camera late at night and seen something you couldn't explain?" The Black Eyed Children are mysterious kids with completely pitch-black eyes who show up at your front door begging to be let inside. #envtuber #urbanlegends youtube.com/shorts/zy9J7...

The Puca is a creature from Irish Folklore, a trickster fairy capable of shapeshifting into many forms TRUE traditional Irish Fae may not have had fairy wings, but the wings on my right shoulder are a reference to fairies and the tricksy metamorphosing nature of the Puca. #vtuber #characterdesign

The real historical story of Ryomen Sukuna, an ancient enemy of the Imperial Japanese court. But to the Hida Province, he was a worshipped guardian. Who decides if a historical figure is remembered as a monster or a hero? #jjk #JujutsuKaisen #ryomensukuna

Happy Birthday Nessie! On May 2 (1933) the Inverness Courier published the famous blurry photo of the Loch Ness Monster. I consider Bigfoot and the Lochness monster to be like the mother and father of modern Cryptozoology. turning localized folklore into a global obsession! #lochnessmonster

Have you ever encountered something unsettling that you could not explain? A shadow that stretched too far, hearing a voice when nobody was there, felt a physical presence etc.? I am trying to collect data, so please tell me about your experiences!? #ENVtuber #Vtuber

When Foxes Infiltrated Medieval Religion Why do you think two completely disconnected ancient cultures, from Japan and from Europe, both commonly depict foxes and religious clothing? Can you think of any other recurring creatures that appear in folklore from different cultures and time periods?

Happy Walpurgisnacht! You may have heard that word in Madoka Magica. "Witches Night" a holiday invoking Saint Walpurga. As far back as 870 CE, Germanic Christians set bonfires to ward off pestilence, rabies, and witchcraft. But pagan rituals on this day go back even further. #Vtuber #madokamagica

Doing some research on “sixth sense” in animals, I learned that Red Foxes are theorized to have “Magnetoreception,” they can see or sense magnetic fields for depth perception. Foxes are often associated with the supernatural. I wonder what other phenomena and abilities different animals possess.

The Crocutta is a medieval voice mimicking a monster written about by Roman scholars. It would stalk its prey and learn to mimic their voices to lure them into the woods. Have you ever heard a familiar voice only to find that there is nobody there?

This week's content will focus on (This will start to make sense tomorrow) 1. A creature that can imitate voices. 2. Cross cultural fox connections. 3.A Japanese warlord with a secret past. So keep your eyes peeled and your ears perked for, “things that are not as they seem.”

Often when fairies take human disguises, they look convincing from afar, but the more you look the more you see something is not quite right, Is it an evil eye? Or is it a good…gaze. I wanted some unnatural inhuman elements in my Vtuber design. What do you think?
