“Coalition for Change” member Gela Khasaia has been released from prison after serving a one-year sentence. A plea agreement reached on May 8, 2026, sentenced Khasaia to four years: one year in prison, followed by three years under a suspended sentence. #TerrorinGeorgia

Today the Prosecutor's Office has filed new charges against Irakli Gharibashvili for "accepting a bribe in particularly large amounts". The charge carries a prison sentence of 11 to 15 years. The former PM is already serving a five-year sentence for other corruption crimes.
