And we end the Major Arcana with The World. As we complete one cycle, we begin another. Ever the world changes before us, but we walk out into it with all we have learned and become. And our friends from those journeys that brought us here? They walk with us as well www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
An illustration of the World tarot card. A goblin exits their home through a round wooden door, and a rainbow colored armadillo crawls out with them. On the steps down from their home, a dog plays as a robot comes to grab packages from their steps. The light is warm from inside the home, but the goblin still ventures out with travel on their mind, brochures under their arm.

Judgment is oft misspelled and oft misunderstood. Justice is the card where you may seek out what is imbalanced, weigh your judgment. Judgment is the moment of divine revelation. When what you know is put aside and changed forever. A new path opens to you. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
Judgment illustration from a tarot card. A goblin holds their hands out as their divine self leaves them and goes to the stars, who drink its light. Dark night scene, riverbank with grass and rocks.

The Sun is a favorite in this deck! Joy, happiness, safety. The Sun radiates all of this. And when our Goblin comes across the migration of the sky whales in Motley Coast City? That is exactly what they feel. Moments of beauty can envelop us in optimism. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
An illustration of the Sun card in the Goblin's Tarot. A goblin looks upward into the beautiful yellow bright day as effervescent and shifting color skywhales fly in circles under the sun. Paper lanterns and balloons float in the air overhead as the sun's radiance beams outward.

No Moon card is complete without a crustacean. In our case, it's a Steamcrab. The Moon gives you illusory paths and mistaken fears. Where might you head between the two watchful towers, under the Moon's gaze? Join us on Backerkit for the Goblin's Tarot--Live now! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
An illustration of the Moon card in a tarot deck. The moon is a heavy black sphere with half a slumbering, kind face. The ground is grassy, and a dirt path trails from the water's edge to a distant glass dome city, standing between two strangely winding metal towers.
A goblin sits on either side of the path. One is strange and crouched, paper-white and gazing up at the other. The other is mortal, clothed, holding books and trinkets from their travels. A strange metal crab, releasing steam, looks on from the water.

Our tarot's Star card is dark and ominous, with a shining light of hope. And that's the Star--a distant goal or dream that you might seek to help you make your journey have direction. It's not hopeless. Our art even offers it as freedom from danger! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...

The Tower is great upheaval and change. Our tower shows the common depiction of a breaking tower as a mosaic in the background. Before it, the Koukyla people share the story of that mosaic, how their cruel god shatters their towers in his honor. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...

Death is rarely literal. Change, the shifting of something ending and something new beginning. Our Death card is literal and figurative, as our Goblin's friend passes, and their next generation rises from their body. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...

The Hanged Man. To be stuck in your decisions, unable to decide just how to move from where you've ended up. Are you a fool to end up here? Or are you waiting for something important to happen first? The longer you wait to make a choice, the difference disappears. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...

Justice comes in many forms, but it often tells us where it is needed. Equity, not just equality. Injustices must be understood and approached with care for each. Not all things can be treated the same, some need more attention to bring them to equality. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...

The Wheel is the cyclical nature of life. We go up, we go down. Good things come and go, and the only constant in the world we can rely on is that everything will always be changing. Do not fear the chaos and shifting of life, it is what makes it worth living. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...

Strength is no simple thing. It is not muscle, it is not being fit. To be strong comes from within, in your heart, in your mind. The gentle, firm hand that guides can turn tides that mere muscle could never. Unwavering and certain, Strength is calm power. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
An illustration of a large, shapeshifting beast in the midst of various brutal transformations. Their claws scratch into the dirt of the field as two friends try to calm them down. The Lovers shows us how we are tethered to one another. It invites not just romance, but the trials and travails of the heart. To love is simple. To share a life is not simple; it takes work and labor and intention. Understand these barriers and surpass them. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
An illustration of a yellow field with a large golden mirror standing without any other structure. Two figures stand before it, an Umbran and a Mirrar, holding hands/tentacles. There is a blue glowing tether floating around them and going into the mirror through a crack, with strange shadowy entity hiding in the reflection.
The Umbran is purple and has 6 arms and two torsos with a bony mask and pink smokey glowing stuff coming out of their head.
The Mirrar is a tan/beige snake-like individual with six tentacles in place of arms and a ruffley, mushroom-like shoulder and head mantle.

In Blue Bird, Black Bird, Mark (our titular blue) slowly realizes there's been a mystery unfolding right under his nose all book. Armored cars are moving cargo solely referred to as "Cartons"-- and a lot of people are interested. But why? #BookBazaar26 #TBBPrompt #Writing #AmWriting #WritingPrompt
“So what are we finding?” Rodie asks.
“They won’t have left any clear records… But I have a feeling the nomenclature is a lie. There aren’t cartons of anything. It’s code.” Mark peeks in through windows on three different holding rooms as they go, pausing to look carefully into the rooms each time.
“So you’re looking for clues?” Rodie asks. Mark nods.

Mark is quick to walk straight to the sharps container on the wall. There were wrappers in the trashcans of the rooms he could see well. And flipping the sharps container open the way a janitor eventually would to toss the trash out, Mark finds what he was looking for. More than he was looking for.
Dozens of tiny, used cartridges with syringe tips on them. Likely loaded into some kind of tool to be injected. But that’s not all. Dozen syringes as well… with tiny bits of brown residue. Just like the blood draw kit that Dr. Ulrich just used on Mark this morning.
When Mark goes to turn around, Rodie is stepping into the room and slowly shutting the door. Mark and him both tuck up against the wall under the windows and crouch silently as the guard paces the hall back the way they had come.

Our speedy vigilante gets a new speed boost midway into the book. Adjusting to it is certainly thrilling... Just hope it doesn't go to his head or anything! #TBBPrompt #Writing #AmWriting #WritingPrompt #BookBazaar26
The first steps are already unfamiliar to Mark. He thinks go, and his body lurches forward before he knows to step. The pull of the air around him throws him over the window and onto the roof. He steps outward with one foot, but out of a need to feel like he’s running. But he’s not sure he really is now.
Still, a foot strikes the rooftop and he soars outward from the building, not down it to the street. Without wings, Blue Bird crashes down to the ground with speed, the air cushion he carries softening the impact on his ankle when he takes another step. Blocks pass by between each stride, and Mark feels the weightlessness in his chest leaning forward. Not pulling him along from the outside, but an aimed falling.

Mark Brace's superspeed is powered by his heart, which drags him through the world at great speed. Weeks after a horrible wound, Mark accepts he can't ignore it any longer. He has to face the new hole in his chest. CW: Body Horror #TBBPrompt #Writing #AmWriting #WritingPrompt #BookBazaar26
But Mark pushes in further until all of his fingers can feel its strangely slick, hot, soft surface. Mark feels his heartbeat slow and his eyes grow wide. The pupils balloon as he stares into them. Like something inside of him has woken up to the outside. Has become aware. Like someone else is in his eyes, looking back at him.
Mark puts pressure onto the flesh of it. Feels how, just under the smooth and soft surface, is a durable, immovable layer of muscle. Like raw meat with a bone inside.
He doesn’t stop pushing his hand inside. His fingers reach over the flesh of the heart and around it. It doesn’t just hang inside, he knows this logically. But right now, his hand enveloping it, he can’t feel anything in the way of his fingers.
And he doesn’t look down.
The heart’s flutter presses against his palm, now. He hears the tiny slaps of the wet muscle, flitting back and forth against the meat of his palm. His thumb over the other side at the top.
Mark swallows the rising bile as he looks on at the mirror over labored breaths. The world feels strange. The room feels like it’s growing in size. Or shrinking. Or he’s getting closer in the mirror. Or time is slowing down for everyone this time, including him.
Like the world is in his hand as it closes. Tighter. Tighter. Tighter–

It's been some time for Mark. His super speedy body has meant he has a number of quirks to his physiology that he can't explain away to anyone who doesn't know that he's the vigilante Blue Bird... But with Ruth King--the Black Raven--does he need to hold back anymore? CW: Arousal Mention #SumLuv
Mark thinks about it for a moment, and he can’t help but notice that he’s stopped breathing. He breathes at once, quickly.
“I mean.” Mark starts, then realizes his hand is shaking on the arm rest of his chair. “Once, in college. It’s been a while, but yeah– I guess. I’m bi.” He says, looking down nervously. Then he realizes. The sweatshirt fell to the floor when he stood up earlier.
He’s stayed hard since the stripdown and suit try-on. Not fully hard, but it’s noticeable enough. Mark leans forward to hide it. He closes his eyes and imagines that Ruth hasn’t noticed.
When he looks up, he sees Ruth has stood up again. Just in front of him, he must have walked those six feet so quietly, so quickly. Mark is face to face with his crotch now. Mark leans back and looks up at Ruth’s face, which is dipping down to get closer. To get closer to–
Ruth tucks his fingers under Mark’s chin and turns his face up to meet his. Their lips touch and immediately Mark begins to spiral downward in his mind. A million thoughts a second. Mark’s hand rises to press against Ruth’s chest. To get lost in his hairy, hard chest. No, to push on Ruth’s hairy, manly, incredibly hot chest. To push him away. But not before their lips press into one another’s. Not before he tastes Ruth’s breath on his, and wants it.

What We Possess is a spooky, black and white aesthetic game run on cards that facilitates 4-6 players as Ghosts. You're stuck in a location that you're haunting, but don't know why. Fill the space with random vessel cards, then draw the Haunt to set the core mystery. Then, make it as you solve it!
What We Possess game boxes stand upright behind the five card-types of the game, shown by their backs: Vessels, Haunts, Clues, Ghosts, and Location cards. The design style is ornate with lovely borders by Sam Dow and simple, clear symbols on the card backs.

In Nekyomanteia, few poems more than Stitch 18 realize that sometimes our greatest realizations are nothing more than a fine white patch of nothing in the face of what's already come before. #TBBPrompt #Writing #AmWriting #WritingPrompt vv Follow the book! vv www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
Stitch 18

I remember few things as
fondly as that
cemetery

Broad red stains in the asphalt

Did you find
something useful there?

I thought I’d discovered
something, but then I realized
others have thought they’d
discovered something

A fine square
white patch

When Mark Brace struggles to recover from physical damage to his body on top of being framed for the murder of a prominent superhero-- he hangs up the vigilante life for a while. #TBBPrompt #Writing #AmWriting #WritingPrompt #BookBazaar26 vv Follow the book! vv www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
The following Monday, Mark goes back to the office to live a normal life. Without his suit, without his proper brace, he sees no reason to put his life on the line for anyone. Cops hunting him, papers hounding him, Mark can’t think of one reason to step outside any faster than a normal guy can walk.
Losing a full week to a ‘mysterious illness’ means a number of less-desirable stories fell to his desk. But there’s something nice about it. A Monday to Friday without superheroing at night. He works at a normal pace. He doesn’t rely on his speed to do anything. It’s not safe to do. Just crunching out a dozen articles no one else wants to write, like a normal worker.
And isn’t that what he’s been getting anyways? Articles no one would ever be excited for. So it’s just working. Gerry asks him a few times for more insider information about what’s going on locally with the anti-vigilante spending, and to Mark’s chagrin, there’s been more to give her.

17 years ago, I designed my unique RPG race, the Diluvians. Today, they are a lineage in Confluence RPG, and they're featured by Sam Dow in the new Goblin's Tarot on the King of Cups, coming September 15th! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
A visual comparison of Seven's original sketch of the Diluvians paired with the latest illustration from Sam Dow, a zoom in on the King of Cups from the new Goblin's Tarot. Diluvians are hulking, large torsos with massive arms that they stand on, a third arm hanging where their legs should be, and a pair of finer arms emerging from their chest. Their faces are featureless and small compared to their massive bodies. The old art features an arrangement of floating stones around the head, tight like a crown. The new art features the stones floating in rings over their heads in multiple colors. The new art also features hand that cover their faces, emerging from their necks.

What's that? You liked the CW Arrowverse but wish it has been gayer? Well, with the power of bisexuality, I've made vigilantes who become more than friends, and one of them even runs fast! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p... #arrowverse #barry/oliver #flash #greenarrow #bookbazaar26
A meme template of Yugi from Yugioh using Polymerization to fuse two things (in this case, The Arrow and The Flash from the CW shows and the Bisexual flag to create Seven's upcoming gay superhero book, Blue Bird, Black Bird.

I am excited to announce that in addition to the superhero novel, Nekyomanteia the Corpse Oracle is joining the Book Bazaar! This reprint of the favorite of Seven's poetry collections comes right around its 10 year anniversary. Perfect timing. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p... #BookBazaar26 #poetry
A collaged background of fancy floor tiles and green watery waves is covered by a halo of collaged human arms. On top of this halo is a collaged together person with many arms and hands, stitching themselves to themselves with thread. The figure's face is made of two halves of a doll's face.
Large text at the top of image in various fonts says "Nekyomanteia The Corpse Oracle", additional text at the bottom says "A Poetry Collection."

Blue Bird takes a LOT of damage in this book, but the earliest, biggest instance is a hard crash at impossible speeds through corn fields in Nebraska! -- A snippet from Blue Bird, Black Bird, launching October 29th with the Book Bazaar! #TBBPrompt #Writing #AmWriting #WritingPrompt #BookBazaar26
"This time, he doesn’t watch his speed. This time, he runs directly down the middle of the road until he’s unable to be seen by anyone, dusting up the street in a sudden violent wind as he peels out of downtown Denver and begins to race headlong for Chicago.
His heart isn’t hurting now. It’s shaking. Wildly leaping ahead of him, pulling his feet ever faster. Mark gasps as he tries to catch his breath. But the Keel isn’t just moving now, it’s shaking forward, threatening to come off of him. To split in two over his spine. As he peels out into the distance through Nebraska, Mark begins to feel his heart pulling a little to the left, to the right. His footsteps go wild.
The next thing he knows, Mark is tumbling through the air, shaking side to side as he eats shit through three miles of corn fields. At first, the pillow of air around him makes him skid over the ground. But as it dissipates and he slows down, he can’t begin to understand where or how he’s hitting the ground. Dirt in his vision. His shoulder burns. His fingers catch into the ground and he feels his pinky and ring finger bend fully backwards.
He can’t even fathom if they’re still on his hand as he feels himself falling sideways again, weightless. Like flying. Until he collides with the ground again, again, and again. His helmet comes fully off as he tumbles the final distance, clutching at his head to brace for the rest of the impact. He spins wildly across the dirt, gripping and trying to stop until he slams into the side of a tree, peeling bark off with him as the dirt finally rises to meet his face. "
