Kate Bowler’s dissertation book, Blessed (2013), inspired me to apply to Ph.D. programs in religious studies three years ago. It was such a *joy* to meet her today on the West Coast, to hear about her new book, Joyful Anyway. She even signed my copy of Blessed from years ago :)
