The old battery seems like it’s ready to blow up any second 😱 Lid back on, flip it over, turn it on…. It works!! It took less than an hour and cost less than $100. If I can do it, you can too.

Managed to get rid of more of the old sticky stuff, and got the new battery in place. Fits like a glove. Almost. Had to fold the power connector a bit to get it squeezed into the socket…

The replacement battery came with everything needed to do the job - except alcohol for dissolving the adhesives… The old battery is out and old adhesive is kind of gone…

My daughter’s hand-me-down 2013 Macbook Pro needs a new battery. Real bad. It bulges so much the bottom lid popped out… I …think… I can fix it. Bought a replacement battery (surprisingly cheap)…. #fixit don’t dump it.

I recently carved a little weird pocket stick that I carry around with me. Handling it is a surprisingly effective doomscrolling replacement. Totally unintentional, but it works.
