drew 2 monkees, because monkees are cool and I wanna draw more animals (and other stuff) from reference, visual library and all. Used ref for both but the chimp is not a direct copy.

Indeed. Ages ago I had a fly crawl around on my desk which was looking really weird. I caught it under a glass and there were a bunch of pseudo scorpions riding around on it, which apparently is not an uncommon things with houseflies.

This looks really awesome, nice oldschool vibes but also modern touches. Really like it. A thing about the crt shader you used. It darkens every other line of actual pixels, which is not how scanlines work. You'd have lines which receive no signal every other line. The image does not get darkened.

Portraits I made pixel version of for Fixeight Exa Label. I worked off of new concept/promotional art by Nanpei Kaneko, who also did the promo art and ingame portraits for the original arcade version. Each of the portraits is 16 colours (including the black) and are in 15bit colourdepth. Fun times.
