🥱Premiere League what? Just kidding. I hadn't really considered that since the rules are based on a percentage of revenue that essentially traps the lower level teams where they are. Anyway, USWNT is playing tonight and Philly is playing Chicago tomorrow and I'm much more interested in that!

Throwing a little shade on Ned there?

Hey, LAFC, Phill Neville is still available for your Head Coach position!

ptfcjunkie.bsky.social @ptfcjunkie.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Our defensive line currently out includes: Mosquera, Bye, Surman, McGraw, Bonetig. Throw in Aravena and Caicedo for good measure. We got Hernandez and Waterman as a bandaid, but neither of them were starters on their prior teams. I don't know what you want a coach to do about that.

I'd rather have them spend the time and effort investigating and gathering evidence and the second Trump is out of office, refer them all for criminal prosecution. Impeachment is nice, but we all know, there will never be a conviction.

I will be eternally disappointed if SNL doesn't do a Ditka tribute sketch tonight. RIP Ditka.

This could be from something called 'flatback syndrome' where the spine loses the normal curvature in the lumbar spinal area. This causes someone to compensate by leaning forward in this awkward posture that Trump always does.

Just recruit only players from Nordic countries. Problem solved!

He's 17, geez. People want athletes to give interviews, complain when they give all cliche, anodyne answers, but if they give any answer that's a little awkward people post it everywhere as an 'aha!' Why should any of them want to do interviews when gets misconstrued or taken out of context?

Look, we all have Neville PTSD. I'm excited to see what Eric Izoita can do. Hopefully Caicedo will be back and they can get some momentum. And then.... let's hope Ned is awake and working on some signings for winter. I think Sam Joseph might get signed as GK.

Mexico is finding this out the hard way. LigaMX academies develop lots of players but the 1st teams never play the younger guys. They end up sitting & not really breaking into a starting spot until 20+. MLS teams in the last 5 years has started giving their young academy players first team minutes

Mmemes that will live on in infamy forever - the Berhalter slap & dive. In terms of players: Julian just being a sniper for goals like a seasoned veteran. Cavan's unending angry mosquito energy. But most of all, the way these players absolutely supported each other like brothers in every moment.

What if Man City is 'Too Big To Fail'? Many would argue that they have brought a ton of int'l attention and money (like lucrative TV contracts) to the PL that helps all clubs, even smaller clubs like Brighton and Brentford. If Man City goes down, then all PL teams will suffer financially.

I left the NFL fandom for soccer several years ago and haven't looked back. Boring sometimes for sure, but usually not. And timeouts, minimal time added on for penalties and injuries and only one halftime. Way better experience as a spectator sport. 90 minutes of play takes about 2 hours to complete

Yeah, boxing, MMA, American football, rugby, just are not sports I'm into. Those all fall squarely within the whole gladiator trope that men (and definitely some women) really love.

I stopped watching a few years ago when I saw Tua get concussed so badly he went into involuntary fencing posture. I can't watch young men get their brains scrambled. The same thing just happened last weekend to the QB for UofO. No thanks.

No! It was meant as a compliment. Gymnasts are amazing athletes so they combine that with martial arts and putting on a performance.

When you can have several MLS players walk in to an English Championship League team and start and do well, it's a pretty good indicator the leagues are fairly similar talent-wise.

I'm sure Harry Kane will have a longer career than average, but I'm not sure he realizes that MLS is not the retirement league it was 10-15 years ago. He might find it isn't as easy to come in at 36+ years old and be as successful as he's used to.
