Andrew and Tristan Tate, the influencer brothers facing rape and sex-trafficking charges in the UK and Romania, spent the past several days in Washington as guests of Donald Trump's special envoy Paolo Zampolli.
Zampolli, a former modelling agency boss who introduced Donald Trump to Melania, confirmed to the Daily Mail that he hosted the Tate brothers at a house in Northwest Washington, DC, on Wednesday for a summer soiree attended by around 150 guests.
Asked whether the event was connected to his State Department role, Zampolli shot back: 'Why would I do that? This was a summer gathering.'
Zampolli, 56, said he wasn't sure of the purpose of the Tates' visit to the capital, telling the Daily Mail: 'They're having some business meetings.'
He also accompanied the infamous brothers on Tuesday to the Ned, the exclusive private members' club near the White House which is a regular haunt for cabinet secretaries. Members at the Ned were shocked by the brothers' appearance and complained to management, multiple sources told the Daily Mail.
'They were mostly smoking cigars outside the club,' a source said and the pair left at around 11pm and went out for a drink afterwards. 'People in the administration were scared to be seen with Tate,' he added.

The Tate brothers deny all allegations against them and are yet to face trial.
Zampolli was named special envoy for global partnerships in March 2025, a role that operates through the State Department.
'Paolo routinely comes into conflict with State Department leadership, who are embarrassed by him,' a State Department source told the Daily Mail.
Now Zampolli has attached himself to two of the most polarizing figures in the Trump-aligned media world, introducing the Tates to Washington's political elite.

The case never went to trial. A court-ordered psychological evaluation found Henrichsen was likely not competent to stand trial, and in April 2022 a judge ordered him admitted to a state psychiatric hospital within 14 days for 45 days of inpatient restoration treatment, treatment meant to make him competent enough to face the charges.
That transfer never happened. The state Department of Social and Health Services missed the deadline, and in May 2022 a judge held the department in contempt of court and fined it $200 a day until Henrichsen was admitted. The department said it could not find him a bed. By August, he had waited 132 days in the Whatcom County Jail with no admission ever happening.
With no path to trial, a judge dismissed the criminal case on Aug. 17, 2022, without prejudice, meaning prosecutors could refile if Henrichsen ever regained competency.

To enhance the deployment of advanced analytics to target health care fraud, the Fraud Division and CMS announced today that they have entered an agreement whereby the Fraud Division will be provided cloud computing space in the CMS Integrated Data Repository environment in which to deploy advanced data analytics algorithms and artificial intelligence tools. In addition, the Fraud Division entered into agreements with the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Trade Commission aimed at breaking down data silos and improving access to information critical to identifying and combatting health care fraud.
CMS also is announcing today that it is developing a Claims Core processing with electronic attestation, identify verification, and IP address log-in, and working to get pledges that all Medicaid, Managed Care, and other plans report the same standardized data fields used for Medicare Part B claims data.

(Some background for readers: The team that forfeited the game is associated with Logos School, an offshoot of Christ Church, in Moscow, Idaho. The church's founder, Doug Wilson, has advocated for making homosexuality illegal and revoking women's suffrage, while also arguing that Black Americans were better off during slavery. The coach has not been named publicly, and it's not clear if he shares Wilson's beliefs.)
It's hard, my intentions of the argument wasn't to speak against Logos. My beliefs don't matter against the church and whatnot. My argument wasn't opposed to any specific group.

I've had issues in the past playing sports against their teams, it's always an issue, not many people around Potlatch like them and it's becoming apparent right now with this whole situation — you can tell who they are, the people who are with them - it was apparent it was that group of people arguing because it was over a song that didn't have anything to do with anything. It was just blown out of proportion.
