maulfest day 5: gloat! with my psyrap Reznap and jerboa Almond #maulfest #psychoraptor #furryart #monsterart #sizedifference

A masfo psyrap wearing fantasy armor and a special tactical helmet for his reptilian head holds a frightened anthro jerboa by having one hand around the rodents neck and the other pulling their tail taut. The rodent has their feet planted on the raiders abdomen and his hands on their arm. The speech bubble coming from the predator reads "SPARING THIS ONE FOR THE BOSS."

Psyraps don't have the finesse to be spacefarers, those that do make it on a ship typically do so as cargo (prisoner, captive, slave, or maybe even stowaway). They wouldn't do very well in such a small space, and are too likely to hunt the crew if given the chance.

If you ping me or chaos on the discord, there's a bunch of old sketches of psyrap muzzles we can find for you. The helmet I drew here for Reznap needs some work because I don't like how the main strap goes over the ear.

Maulfest (prompt list by @psyrapmafia.bsky.social) day 3… posted a day late. This is Tumblewisp, a psychonid (M-vernid/F-psyrap hybrid) and freelance crime-scene cleaner. People pay him to cover up their crimes by butchering and eating the victims. (He/him to clients, she/her to friends.)

An anthropomorphic mammal character with yellow fur, a pale gray face with eye markings, large white ears, and wearing a white shirt + leather smock + green rubber gloves. He is saying “Yes, I can show you how to butcher sophonts… for a price.”

maulfest day 3: teacher! the face of a psyrap trying in vain to give his easily distracted brethren a biology lesson on the local population of delicious dragons. #psychoraptor #goreart #maulfest #nsfw

A grayscale drawing of the upper half of a masfo psychoraptor gazing towards or just passed the viewer while hoisting up a deceased dragon's neck pinned to himself with the skyward head snug against the side of his own head. His taloned hands are gaping a neck wound on the dragon's neck, gesturing at something just under the exposed flesh - perhaps the organ that allowed it to firebreath.

Maulfest (prompt event by @psyrapmafia.bsky.social) day 2: “Small”. Ztopcock here is small for a Psychoraptor, but compared to a ”small” anthro vampire-bat-dragon like Dolfito, he‘s quite large.

A drawing of a raptor-like anthro character holding up an anthro vampire bat (with a long spade tail) by one leg and glaring at him. The vampire bat is saying “Your blood smells weird”.

[cw siblicide] day 1 of #maulfest! someone is off to a great start in their lifelong mauling career

a freshly hatched psychoraptor wastes no time starting off their lifelong mauling career by sinking their long sharp fangs into another freshly hatched but seemingly deceased psychoraptor.

0172

#throwbackthursday this piece of mase with his goons. some things have changed since then with psyraps. their nipples are on their lower belly now. short muzzles are now exclusive to the sub-adult and younger stages. they also have less but bigger teeth now. otherwise they are as unhinged as always.

0101

No craft is forbidden in psyrap society, but many are simply ignored or seen as a waste of energy due to species volatility, low intelligence, poor dexterity, and impatience. They don't typically make good mages, bookwriters, philosophers, polyglots, serial killers, politicians, or engineers.

One of the most popular for psyraps is building armor out of certain dragon species scales to fire/acid proof themselves when hunting large fire/acid breathers.

i havent seen ANY this year so far xD it's all right, I just ended up making my own instead :]

000

Decided to just make my own in collaboration with my server mods, tailored to the psyrap species. I'll post it tomorrow!

I'm still not seeing a single october prompt page thingy anywhere, is it just not a thing anymore? Or do they just not come out until october 1st?

The crafts psyraps tend to adopt in life is metalsmithing, hidetanning, and homebrewing. Creative psyraps take up scarification, etching, openwork, and hand poked tattooing. They rarely paint mostly due to colorblindness, and sewing is almost impossible for their stocky hands and farsightedness.

With their large size, brute strength, and insane pain tolerance, Psyraps are perfect for forging and blacksmithing. Working with metal is ideal for them since they don't view it as a food item, and because it's so often salvaged from raids and defeated would-be slayers clad in armor.

You are more likely to find psyraps that perished in mid coitus then to ever see them become spooked enough to interrupt a romp. #nsfw

Z @psyrapmafia.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

The most popular form of toy amongst psyraps is smaller living beings with spicy attitudes. They like robust specimens that can survive negligent care at best and abusive treatment at worse, and offer a respectable level of combativeness that makes breaking them that much more entertaining. #nsfw

The purpose of psyrap toys depends on their age. As immature children, toys exercise their coordination and grant a better understanding of what defenses prey has. Mature adults use toys to release residual energy, form bonds with brethren by playing together, and satisfy their desire to smell fear.

Oh psyraps do tend to be triggered into "finishing the job" regarding mangled or heavily scarred prey, ESPECIALLY if they can tell (or otherwise know) the damage came from another psychoraptor.

111

Z @psyrapmafia.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Yes they find a lack of battle damage unattractive because it comes off as juvenile at best and suspicious at worse. Due to their apex minded nature, they typically extend no standard of their own kind to other species.

110

Z @psyrapmafia.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

The average outsider probably considers the psychoraptors idea of a toy to be cruel and macabre. As far as this species is concerned, the world is made up of two kinds of beings - them, and "prey." And prey is theirs to use however they see fit - to eat, to play with, or both. #nsfw #psychoraptors
