To me, Sinead is one of the most courageous people who ever lived. And she did it despite the costs to her. A rare gem.

Acceptance doesn't mean you agree with what's happening or that you're done trying to build a better life. It means you stop adding unnecessary suffering on top of the pain that's already there.

Not believing U=U was associated with almost twice the odds of HIV self-stigma (OR 1.88), greater anxiety, depressive experiences & poorer sexual satisfaction. Older people, heterosexual people, those experiencing financial hardship and those with less education were less likely to believe it.

I found this interesting study by Palich (2026). Using a pretty large data set (N=4553) of people living with HIV on antiretroviral therapy, it found that knowing U=U is not the same thing as believing U=U. Intellectual understanding doesn’t = emotional assimilation pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41944854/

Today the North Bristol NHS Trust name disappears as part of a new merged trust. I joined NBT early in my career 10 years ago & proudly work here today. It's a symbolic ending of the named place that held years of my professional becoming. A chapter closes, even as the work continues.

Durham County Council, run by Reform, pulled £2,500 from Durham Pride. But the Durham Miners Association, mindful of the support from LGBT communities during the miners strike, stepped in and, along with other Unions made contributions to make this year’s Durham Pride bigger than ever before. 🏳️‍🌈💪❤️

We should avoid reducing chemsex to simply “bad choices,”, impulsivity, or purely biomedical risk. Instead, aim to understand what need it meets (e.g., connection), what it functions to regulate (e.g., shame), and the individual context (e.g., stigma, trauma). www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

An impressive win for county Donegal against Kerry in the GAA senior league final in Croke Park today 🔰 Donegal were outstanding last year, but suffered an out-of-character loss at the All Ireland 25. Crushing. When a team can bounce back from the pain of that = a great example of using a loss well.

Not sure what my top 10 would be. Not that these are necessarily in my top, but I’m surprised Caribbean Blue isn’t in there. Or Harry’s Game by Clannad … since it’s so brilliantly sampled in Saltwater by Chicane. Drink Before the War by Sinead O’C is something else… how it was used in Euphoria - wow

Linking NHS data to a company widely associated with enforcement and security-state functions will activate fear & avoidance. People will disclose selectively. It increases the risk of disengagement from care.

I watched ‘I Swear’ & I’m still feeling it in my chest. It’s heartbreaking and beautiful. I’m thinking a lot about the people who didn’t persecute John Davidson-who chose curiosity, steadiness, and support when society rejected him. They gave me relief. 10/10 - do watch! www.imdb.com/title/tt3151...
