“Clothes make the man.” An attempt at chronicling Arthur’s various outfits throughout his travels. When I originally posted this, @malevolent.bsky.social only had 31 parts — it's now up to 51 parts and counting!
A series of 10 illustrations, showing Arthur Lester (an early 1900s- styled gentleman) throughout his travels in the 'Malevolent' podcast. His eyes and hand are sometimes yellow to indicate the presence of the being in his mind.
Part 1-11, Arkham: Arthur wears neat 'shirt & tie' clothes with a waistcoat, and holds a lighter.
Part 11-12, The Hotel: Arthur wears a cloak and mask, his trousers bloodied. His hand is yellow.
Part 12-15, The Dreamlands: Arthur has changed to slightly ill-fitted clothes with a buckled belt. He carries a bag.
Part 15-18, Frank's Apartment: Arthur has gained a necktie, but looks tired and unclean. His left-hand's little finger is blackened.
Part 19-21, The Prison Pits: Arthur's hair and beard have grown long. His clothes are torn and dirty. He has no bag.
Part 21-26, The Red Right Hand: Arthur wears a jacket, bag, boots and gloves. He is stained with dirt and vomit, and his neck is bandaged. His hand is no-longer yellow.
Part 26-27, The Larson Estate: Arthur wears a large overcoat. His face and hands are sooty, and he has no shoes. His hand is yellow again, and his neck is scarred.
Part 27-28, The Mines: Arthur is shirtless, and wearing the same mask from Part 11-12. He is notably thin, and his wounded stomach is stitched.
Part 29-30, The Train: Somebody's bathed and shaved! Arthur sports a moustache and fine three-piece suit and hat. He even has shoes again!
Part 31+, Marie's House: Arthur wears a shirt, tie and braces, and a wristwatch.

Late to the party, but thought I'd celebrate @malevolent.bsky.social's 5th anniversary with some old art! @thelirivalley.bsky.social's work as a writer, actor, musician, and all-round storyteller is truly impressive — it's been a joy to have followed his work for so long 👏
A bust illustration of Arthur Lester, an early 1900s-styled gentleman with pale yellow eyes, scars, and a pencil moustache. He is looking severely at the viewer, his eyes haloed by a barbed yellow circle.
