Not saying this isn't true, but it misses the point that dysphoria / unhappiness with one's own appearance are things that exist beyond the "how cis people are going to treat you".

So clownish that 1) we barely know how many of us there are; and 2) despite being a tiny minority (of the larger gender-variant community), we're constantly portrayed as hegemonic and privileged by that same community #cissexual
Reddit comment by SortzaInTheForest:

around 40% of nonbinary people pursue medical transition.

That's incorrect.

Around 0.1% of people pursue medical transition (approximately). From your link, 20% percent of that group would be NB, which means around 0.02% of total population are (or would be once the NB trend estabilizes) NB pursuing medical transition, around 1 in 5000.

Right now, 5% of young adults identify as NB. From the total demographics of young adults, 0.1% will pursue or are pursuing medical transition, and from that group 20% will be NB.

That means that from every 5000 young adults, 250 of them identify as NB, 5 of them will transition, 1 of them will transition and identity as NB. The percentage of Non-Binary that pursue medical transition would be 1 in 250.

Of course, numbers are very approximate and should be taken with a grain or salt (or two), but the order of magnitude should be there. When we're talking about percentage of NB pursuing medical transition, we're talking ¿1 in 100?, ¿1 in 300?, ¿1 in 500? who knows the real number (probably nobody knows), but that'd be the order of magnitude.

"Trenders are taking our rights away-" No, they're not. Amy with her purple hair and pronoun pins isn't walking into a polling booth and voting for a conservative candidate. You know who is, though? Your neighbor Diane, who gets all of her information from FOX news.

Laws are being approved because extreme conservative and terf views are winning the public battle of opinion. Diana the extreme conservative Karen that only watches Foxy News, she can't turn the laws upside down, you need to win moderates for that. And you win moderates by winning the battle of public image.

Amy with her purple hair becoming the representation of "dysphoria" and pushing themselves obnoxiously and what's more, shutting down any voice that disagrees with her until they/them become the only public voice, that's what's changing, or better said, what already changed the t…

It is time for a Laptop Post about passing. OK frist of all, quoted image could be a joke because it's kinda funny, so I'm not even talking about that specifically. The #1 thing feminists are afraid of is "passing" !

One of the greatest acts of gaslighting ever perpetrated upon trans women, and transsexuals more broadly, is the idea that being a binary transsexual woman is less revolutionary than being a non-conforming cissexual. A stunning amount of transmisogyny flows downstream from that.

That someone like this is ostensibly a figurehead for the trans movement is a testament to how much we have lost control of the ship. Healthcare is the priority. Alienating potential allies by describing sports concerns as "sexist", "racist" and "eugenic" is an incredibly poor strategy.

Sports have nothing to do with healthcare

Excuse me? I am talking about SPORTS. The stuff McBride did protected access for trans youth on Medicaid receiving GAC. I transitioned as an underage teenager. Did you? Don't speak over my lived experience.

It isn't 2015 anymore, Jesse! 'The left' has come to embrace the USA flag over the past few years.

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
Yes, I am. You guys criticism is warrentless and does nothing to further trans rights. McBride knows how to win, instead of virtue signalling and using progressive jargon.

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
On the left, we fetishize protest too much. It's sexier to wave a flag in front of a police officer, but it doesn't do much to win rights. It's much less glamorous to lobby in the cloakroom to kill a bad amendment for trans Americans, but in the end has far better impact than protesting.

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
'People in the streets' had absolutely nothing to do with the GAC defunding provision being axed from the BBB. It was McBride and Baldwin successfully lobbying the democratic caucus. The protests that have occurred had little to do with trans rights.

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
But hey, I guess it feels good to have the righteous anger of prioritizing loser wedge issues like sports instead of ensuring most trans people don't lose healthcare coverage for gender transition. McBride's politics has a hope of success, radical extremism a-la her critics does NOT.

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
The struggle session, I mean 'criticism' from you guys, is unhelpful, not based in reality, and does nothing to further trans rights. While anarchists/communists on Bsky are attacking her for being a lib or whatever, she saved countless trans people from losing healthcare.

I'm serious. I think being a "communist photographer" from Louisina (lol) is much more closer to trolling than advocating for how to win trans healthcare

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
Wow! What did you do to stop the Medicaid cuts for GAC? How many democratic members did you stop from voting for Medicaid gender cuts? Really excited to see how you influenced stuff that matters like healthcare, and not fringe tangential luxury issues like sports.

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
It took almost a century for African Americans to get the same rights as other Americans. Trans healthcare rights are going to be a decades - century long project. And that requires compromise and abandoning fringe issues of lower importance, like sports in order to defend what matters - healthcare.

I want trans women/girls to be able to make decisions about their bodies and healthcare, putting me far to the left of most of America. By putting people like Strangio as the movement's commanders, we abandoned incremental gain in favor of unpopular, risky and easily attacked dramatic battles.

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
We have a rosy and oversimplified view of how the civil rights movement for African Americans won. It was a nearly century-long battle that had many moments of momentum, then defeats, and then ugly compromises that incrementally pushed us to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

This was posted LITERALLY a day before it came out, McBride + Baldwin killed any democratic momentum to side with the GOP. A "tired anarchist" knows nothing about how to succeed in axing such amendments, whereas McBride did succeed in doing what the online critics of her did nothing to halt!

Sadie Slee (She/Her) @psychoendocrine.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
If we want trans rights to succeed, it is imperative that we elevate more McBrides and Buttigegs who are media savvy and presentable to normies instead of putting people like this in positions of authority and publicity. Incrementalism > Ideology is the way forward for trans healthcare.

Anti-ai sentiment is a moral panic cooked up by baizuo feminism, the same people who think video games make you a rapist. This neo-luddism is gradually destroying the culture of American technical competence and we're very quickly going to find ourselves dumber than Asia, or even moreso I mean.

How Jimmy Swaggart Changed American Christianity
The disgraced televangelist built his career on an undeniable talent. His downfall contributed to a major shift in how Americans viewed religious leaders.

Friendly reminder in the wake of Skrmetti. Transfems/MtFs should not buy into the psyop about DIY HRT being dangerous; we have the most to lose from not receiving hormones, and must take our own health into our own hands to live the lives we desire. NGNM take estrogen regardless of the laws.
