I extended the deadline for my #ALF40 poll until this Sunday! This Monday (the 28th) will start the forty weeks of me posting everyone’s favorite things about ALF. So please enjoy this graphic I edited together in ten minutes and submit your favorite thing about the ALF franchise!

A graphic reading:
“There's only a few days left to submit your favorite thing about ALF to the #ALF40 poll!”

A drawing of ALF says, “Yeah, there was an extension because of the anniversary... but hurry up and submit your favorite things about the franchise! We're just short of 40 submissions and we can use all the
submissions we can get!”

You have until September 27 to submit!

So today, honor the memory of the guy who wanted to “make the world a little bit better for my having been here.” Go do something worthwhile today. Create something. Collaborate with others. Read something. Or go be silly simply because you can. Jim Henson would want you to.

Of course, there will be times when you don't succeed. But you learn from those experiences, too. Jim Henson was constantly moving forward, trying new ideas and new designs. They weren't all beloved. But were they worth it? You bet.

Be true to your creative vision. Jim Henson did something absolutely new and daring with THE DARK CRYSTAL, defying those who told him the production would never work. An absolute commitment to his own artistic endeavor, non-believers be damned.

Use your powers and influence for good. FRAGGLE ROCK was Jim's deliberate ode to peace, inclusivity, and understanding. "I want to do a show that will stop war," he told his creative team. Be a force of good in the world.

Never be afraid to be silly. Jim Henson took great delight in Muppets blowing up or devouring each other. There is beauty in absurdity and hilarity. Indulge it.

Jim Henson would have been 90 (yup, you read that right: NINETY) years old today. You can celebrate his life by celebrating creativity, diversity, peace, imagination, and silliness.

I think the best thing to come out of this glorious #ALF40 celebration is ALFTV’s newsletter, in which a Q&A from Paul Fusco hinted at an appearance later this year and a possible movie in the works.

8) Will ALF ever make another appearance anywhere? Thanks.
(me_in_nices_father)
ALF is always ready to make an appearance. Recently we received a request to appear on the upcoming Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's their 100th anniversary and they are reaching out to the many celebrities who appeared over the decades. Stay tuned! And NO, he won't be made into a balloon.

18) Is there any possibility of a reboot or any new ALF related cameos/crossovers? (rushio5433)
Quite possibly a movie will be in the works very soon!

The latest update on the Muppet Show reboot is so bewildering. Like what do you mean a premise couldn’t be decided upon? Like they couldn’t just decide on “the Muppets put on a variety show”, a premise that lasted five seasons and has recurred in Muppet productions for fifty years???
