Large-scale data analysis has revealed a stronger correlation between defective PROS1 and venous thrombosis, and many patients with PSD have other factors influencing their Protein S levels. PROS1 is not associated with an increased risk of arterial thrombosis. www.hcplive.com/view/bendapu...

Protein S Deficiency (PSD) is a rare blood disorder that affects just a few thousand people worldwide. It is one of several known risk factors for thrombophilia and can increase the risk of blood clots such as Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE). #proteinsdeficiency #thrombosis
