The arch-trees are the apex organism of Dark Souls ecology. The Frampt seeks kindling for the Kiln so that cinders may fall to Ash Lake as mulch and fertilizer. Primordial Serpents are but tree-snakes - and give advice like their Biblical antecedent.

My guess is that Enir-Ilim was named after two great erdtrees which grew, entwined, in its center. The city's empty curves were built around the braided trunks - a kind of smaller version of Leyndell's walls, a singular Divine Tower. The "divine gate" are their stumps, burnt by Marika.

One of my pro-bono clients is an old Trump voter. He is convinced that his heating oil prices have doubled because our Democratic governor just increased the taxes. By $3.50 per gallon. So from 2025 prices, a >100% tax. Anyway I looked it up and we've never taxed heating oil.
