The first half of a short Undertale fan comic. Mettaton, still in ghost form, peeks in Alphys’s lab door, saying “I’m here! What’s the update you were so excited about?” She then slings an arm across his shoulder, saying “come on, let me show you!” Across the next panel she explains excitedly “Remember that weird paper I had you read? That was a phoneme example script! So with a process similar to certain virtual singers…” Behind her are doodles of Mettaton reading off a script, and then singing with Hatsune Miku’s pigtails.

The latter half. Alphys types something, and then presents the boxtton body as it says, in Mettaton’s voice though digitized (represented by the same colours as Mettaton’s speech bubbles with a more calculator-style font) “the bot can speak just like you!”. Alphys grins proudly at Mettaton, he looks aside uncomfortably, and she deflates but looks thoughtful. There’s a beat panel where they stare at each other, then she goes back over to the computer and lowers a pitch slider significantly. The boxtton bot says “how about now?” in the deeper tone, and Mettaton delightedly says “that’s my voice!” surrounded by hearts and stars.
