Angry looking sky at the moment, sun can just be seen though a layer of Cirrostratus, that could be the anvil of a CB that is to the south... Thunderstorms are off over Bordeaux and are forecast for us later in the evening...

My first thought was that it might be a stag beetle, often hear them before seeing them, but I've only seen them flying in the evening, second might be a carpenter bee, which are often solitary, seen them through the day...
