The Pro:NE Project is split into four strands: Admissions, Development, Mental Health and Mentoring Our strands work across all five of our partner institutions in the North East to support racially minoritised UK PhD candidates Visit the Pro:NE website for more: pronortheast.org.uk/workstrands/

Development: Aiming to remove institutional barriers and facilitate successful enrollment in and completion of postgraduate research studies, through targeted funding opportunities, workshops, training, and networking.

Mental Health: Offering relevant mental wellbeing and psychological wellbeing support for racially and ethnically minoritised students across 5 universities in the North East.

Mentoring: Supporting racially minoritised PhD candidates using a peer and reciprocal mentoring system. Aiming to improve systemic processes, as well as increase wellbeing, satisfaction, and leadership."
