I'm excited to share that my postdoc paper from the @healeylab.bsky.social lab was published today! Here we show that zebra finch parents have stronger auditory responses to chick calls compared to non-parents and that females tend to be more selective in these responses! Also~my 1st ephys paper!! ⬇️

Candidates must have experience with in vivo electrophysiology recordings and able to perform experiments independently. Applications will be reviewed starting July 1, 2026 and remain open until the position is filled. The ideal start date would be ~August 1, 2026, but can be flexible.

My new lab at @umich.edu will be studying parenting behavior in zebra finches, with a focus on auditory processing of offspring calls in parents. We're looking for someone with in vivo electrophysiology experience for either a Research Staff or Postdoc position to help set up the lab!
