On January 30, 2025, Congressman Glenn Ivey met with PROGRESS Co-Directors Joseph Richardson and Woodie Kessel during his visit to the University of Maryland. The dialogue continued on February 25, when the co-directors met with Congressman Ivey at his U.S. Capitol offices.

Yesterday, PROGRESS Co-Director Jo Richardson joined other public health leaders for an @PostLive discussion on the number one cause of death for children and teens in America: gun violence. "We cannot incarcerate our way out of this with a law enforcement approach," Dr. Richardson said.
