The hills in SA are finally turning green but our farmers need a lot more.

What I really miss is an accepted 3rd party (by the media), that holds the government to account. What we have now is an effing freak show. The Greens are the new Democrats but the media treats them as crap despite their national vote #auspsol

Can somebody do some analysis of the green/independent vote across electorates, especially in the cities? How many Labor seats are owed to those preferences, including those where the primary vote went to candidates other than the ALP? #auspol

I have a new theory at the end of almost 52 years & 16 months of trauma therapy. Post-menopausal women are the wisest people on the planet & it’s about time we started listening to them & electing them to our parliaments.

If someone from @australiainstitute.org.au appeared each week, I would watch it again religiously. @richarddenniss.bsky.social has been a breath of fresh air.

As an outsider looking in, AOC, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Katie (? - awesome in committee hearings Katie) need to get together with Pete Buttigieg (your best IMHO), the Governor of Illinois & some other great & fresh faces. The world is watching & will want new people to rebuild with.

I like to recycle & support local businesses. But, I really should not be allowed to take my wallet to Strathalbyn very often (I didn’t buy the MG & only bought 1 vintage candy jar today) but I suspect I have a problem …

Can we organise a forum before the next election where we discuss the shitty policy scenario & what a progressive party or coalition might actually do? We need an agenda with priorities for all of us that want & expect more #auspol

I cannot help but feel disillusioned with the state of politics & the world. Our major parties are completely compromised, if not corrupted. Vote Independents in Australia.

I see the next federal election as my last chance to influence positive change for my grandchildren. I live in Mayo so it’s in the Senate where my vote will really matter.

Good work Jim. Just a shame your government supports genocide, Aukus, & fossil fuels. Perhaps if you prioritised ordinary Australians (as a government not just as treasurer), we might be able to give Labor our preference again.

It’s so lovely connecting with so many refugees here! I am hoping to stay engaged despite my worsening MS, but am now going to pursue my lifelong desire for a painting career that I ditched in favour of Law in 1990. First Uni preference - arts/law. Second preference- fine art.

I am doing much better thanks Glenn. The plan for me doing Lemtrada is that I may not need any treatment for another 10 years or more. Which means no ongoing immune suppression.

Prof Wendy Lacey @profwendylacey.bsky.social · 17/11/2024
I chose Lemtrada purely to not need any ongoing treatment but it does require 8 infusion days & zero immune system for many months.
