In honor of spooky month, I talk about how dreams inspired my horror game! That includes actual nightmares I have had, by the by. No, I don't know why my mind conjured up the meat monster with teeth. youtu.be/vkfMh5oDilg #indiegaming #horrorgaming #indiedev

Gotta say goodbye to this screenshot since it's actually no longer in the game anymore. Rest in peace, favorite screenshot. Not sure what will replace it but that's a problem for another day. #screenshotsaturday #indiegames #indiedev

Presenting the most underwhelming sugar I've ever had. No citrus flavor in this whatsoever. It's basically chewy sugar.

There is not enough discussion about how babies can somehow hear a pin drop from a different room and that manages to wake them.

Today on "stupid bugs in my code that make no sense", we have a monster incapable of opening doors. The fix? Lower the timer for when it checks if there's a door it can open. The timer... Why would that have anything to do with it? Who knows?

Been spinning up my game dev stuff again now that I've largely settled into my new space. Decided to start with redesigning a level. Why did I make this prison so huge? Don't know. Should feel much better by the time I'm done and be easier to update/maintain as well.

Since I have moved recently, there was no hope of me doing the usual scripted devlog. So instead, I did a developer's commentary kind of video. Who knows? Maybe they'll become a mainstay. Happy viewing! youtu.be/uR1W7iyM2KM #indiegaming #horrorgaming #pcgaming

Trying something a little different with my gaming blog today. Who knows if I'll stick with it, but basically I'm trying to be more okay with dropping a game mid-playthrough. The guinea pig for this "partial review" format is Horizon: Zero Dawn. profsmash.wordpress.com/2026/04/29/w...
