I was already worrying in Trump's first term that he would arrest Obama or worse. His rantings today reveal a serious sickness in his soul. This guy is so far gone now ...

Once Trump gets a stupid idea in his head, it's almost impossible to get it out and he keeps on repeating it for weeks/years/decades.

It's not just Kennedy's hand. There's his face, too, with the funny smile: he's quite pleased with what Schmitt has done, and he is happy to be participating in it.

During his presidential campaign he lied about Al Gore. According to Nader, Gore was as bad as Bush if not worse than Bush. He cost Gore Florida and derailed our future. Pariah forever.

The NYT NYTimesing. Sen. Schmitt accused, falsely, Jack Smith of perjury, and then Sen Klobuchar nailed Sen. Schmitt's ass to the wall about the mistake. But the latter part of the story is deliberatly hidden here.

Billionaires are trying to buy the government and create an oligarchy. We're getting dangerously close to "It's either us or them." If the Republic is going to survive, at some point they will have to be taken down.

Yes, the 250-yr. old Constitution is something of a rickety document, but it turns out that the reason it's failing us right now is because of the current SC's rulings supporting a monarch-president & the current Republican-controlled Congress not doing its Constitutionally-mandated job.

Bush II was absolutely terrible as president. With that said, over the past decade he's had the chance to redeem himself to some extent. But he's totally blown it. He's also thereby proven that he's fully as bad as his time as president reveals.

McConnell ended those days of "reach across the aisle" comity during Obama's presidency. But Dems like Schumer who lived in the "before era" continue to have the (antiquated) idea in their heads & haven't adjusted to the new political reality.

Dems should be shouting this together, as a great chorus like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. "We will tear this stupid monument down. We will also remove the ballroom and all the other stupid things Trump has done to the WH since taking office. All of it."

He's been running his mouth with his blustering bs for more than a half century now. When it was just NYC, it was easy to ignore him, as most did, but now, in his full narcissistic dotage, & with the power of the presidency behind him, he's polluted the entire planet. And this in less than 2 years!

I take some solace in the fact that, every day, Trump solidifies his fame as the absolute worst president in our history, bar none, and that he will be vilified for as long as the Republic stands.

He gets it. And he gives expression to it perfectly. He's showing how resistance should be done, and by doing this he's showing the abject failure of the current Dem leadership in Congress.

Rick Wilson was prescient years ago during Trump's first term: ETTD. When Biden was elected in 2020, I thought, "Great! At least the U.S. has escaped this fate." Maybe we wil still, but there's so much destruction otherwise – in DC, around the country, around the world.

The MSM is seriously broken. The GOP successfully hacked the MSM. The MSM is kinda happy to have been hacked. Dems could do a better job in dealing with all of this, but the Dem leadership has shut its eyes to the problem, just like it shut its eyes to the decades-long takeover of the SC.

What an absolutely pitiful individual. He could be in a psychological museum for seriously broken human specimens. Contemplating the man is amazing in itself. But then there's the people around him who cheer this perfect example of a malignant narcissist. It's not a good look for humanity.

I'm wondering whether there will be a way to claw back any of this money going to Trump, his family, and his corrupt cronies once Trump is gone. Certainly Trump has helped to solidify the position of lots of oligarchs.

I grew up in a town in NJ from which I could see the WTC but I was out west by the time of 9-11. I remember hearing in the weeks afterward the repeated claims by officials that the air was perfectly fine to breath in NYC & I thought, "Well that's complete BS! Why isn't anyone calling out that lie?"

Some of the Dem talk is wimpy and vague. Court reform must be more than ethics requirements. Dems need to go beyond this & provide specifics. Ro Khanna's proposal, for example, is a very good one.

And George Bush blew the response that mattered. Sure, he gave a decent speech from the top of rubble a few days later. But if you imagine Gore as president, you can see right away that both the before (airline security would have been better) and the after (Mideast wars) might not have happened.

It's the same story over and over again: Trump does what he wants; the Supreme Court dithers; Trump continues to do what he wants; faced with a fait accompli, the Supreme Court either says "Ok" or approves it. In this instance you can see the train wreck of the midterm election system ahead.

Diced onions back in the day at Greasy Tony's --- yes, that was the actual name of the restaurant -- in New Brunswick NJ. What at awesome cheesesteak one could buy there. I typically got two. Believe it or not, for a while there was a Greasy Tony's in Tucson AZ.

El-Sayed made a fundamental mistake in campaigning with Piker. He's now compounding that mistake. It's probably too late for him to make it right; it's unclear how that would even happen. Shoot yourself, you're gonna bleed. The only question now is whether the shot was to the foot, stomach, or head.
