I wish that was the only time something like that happened. Mitch McConnell not even having hearings for Obama’s Supreme Court nominee is the same sort of tactic. If democracy doesn’t give the right what they want, they will ignore it and resort to violence if they have to.

If our defense industry were really about defense instead of welfare for the already insanely wealthy, they'd be coming up with weapons like Iran has. Instead, it's a stream of multi-billion-dollar boondoggles, often that the military doesn't even want. www.rawstory.com/trump-iran-t...

The rich would rather burn money than spend to make life easier for the rest of us.
The primary aim of modern warfare
is to use up the products of the
machine without raising the general
standard of living.

For if leisure and security were enjoyed by all
alike, the great mass of human beings who are
normally stupefied by poverty would become
literate and would learn to think for themselves;
and when once they had done this, they would
sooner or later realize that the privileged
minority had no function, and they would sweep
it away.

Democrats could be hurt too, as could the system Israel uses to keep a chokechain on our politicians.
Speaker Mike Johnson says Epstein file disclosures must be limited in order to “make sure we don’t do permanent damage to the political system.”

Johnson just admitted the Republican political system is full of pedos.

Photo of Hitler wth text that says, "Hiter's Big Lie Rule"

"In view of the primitive simplicity of their minds they more easily fall a victim to a big lie than to a little one, since they themselves lie in little things, but would be ashamed of lies that were too big.

Such a falsehood will never enter their heads and they will not be able to believe in the possibility of such monstrous effrontery and infamous misrepresentation in others; yes, even when enlightened on the subject, they will long doubt and waver, and continue to accept at least one of these causes as true."

According to the Wall St Journal, Trump ordered the Epstein cover-up because he was afraid his "friends" would be hurt by the release. The information he saw about himself was so damaging that he wanted to tell the public it had been "doctored." www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
WSJ: But what was the rest of Trump’s motivation for ordering the Files permanently kept from voters? According to the Journal, “he worried aloud [to aides[ that the files might have been doctored to hurt him” (emphasis supplied). The problem with this is that by that point in Spring 2025 he had already been briefed by the FBI and DOJ on the number and nature of his appearances in the Epstein Files, so if he was still concerned about the way(s) his name appeared in the Files—to the point that he was prepared to lie to American voters and claim without evidence that the Epstein Files must have been “doctored”—it means that the references to him in the Files that he covered up via a direct presidential order to the FBI and DOJ must have been excruciatingly bad.WSJ: But behind the scenes, Trump was—as he issued that order—“telling aides he was worried some of his friends might be mentioned in the files,” meaning that his order to the FBI and DOJ to block all future Epstein File releases was, and by his own admission, significantly motivated by a desire to protect his friends from disclosures about their involvement with Epstein.

Read this in an old article on Gene Sharp, the guru of non-violent political methods. www.cnn.com/2012/06/23/w...
What gives a government – even a repressive regime – the power to rule? The answer, he realized, was people’s belief in its power. Even dictatorships require the cooperation and obedience of the people they rule to stay in charge.

So, he reasoned, if you can identify the sources of a government’s power – people working in civil service, police and judges, even the army – then you know what a dictatorship depends on for its existence.Suddenly, he got it. If a dictatorship depends on the cooperation of people and institutions, then all you have to do is shrink that support

Does anyone believe the 10,000 hours of video Epstein had was just regular porn NOT surveillance of the rich and powerful? This sounds like another lame talking point dictated by Trump himself. www.mediaite.com/politics/com...
“I had dinner last week with the vice president. He told me that that was commercial pornography. They do not have videos of any powerful person in a compromising position. That’s the party line that they’re going with,” continued Dillon, adding:

If that’s the case, why would Pam Bondi call it evidence? Why would she say it’s evidence? She’s not an idiot. She’s the attorney general. Why would you say she has files on her desk if none of these implicated anybody? It just feels like they’re covering something for sure.

An important note about Trump's proof of citizenship to register to vote executive order: Republicans who have never proved the problem it's supposed to solve exists. www.gregpalast.com/trump-execut...
According to Barbara Arnwine, who taught voting rights law at Columbia University, Trump and Musk are trying to get around Article 1 of the Constitution. Arnwine, founder of the Transformative Justice Coalition, notes that the Tenth Amendment requires an act of Congress to change federal election law. The Trump-Musk Order tries to end-run the Constitution by pretending this is only a change in a federal form, the national mail-in registration form that almost all Americans use.

We’ve been there before: In the 2016 election, Kansas launched a registration form that required proof of citizenship. Kris Kobach, Trump’s “Voter Fraud Tsar” and then Secretary of State of Kansas, admitted in court that there was not one non-citizen among the 36,000 Kansans who lost their vote because of this prove-you’re-a-citizen registration form.

Not coincidentally, most of the voters blocked by Kansas were students, i.e. Democrats.
The Trump-Musk Order also threatens the return of the infamous Interstate Crosscheck purge program. Courts had already struck down Crosscheck because it wildly tagged over three million Americans as potential “multiple” voters.

What did President & General Dwight D. Eisenhower think of Musk & Trump's plans to break Social Security?
Should any political party attempt to abolish social security unemployment insurance and eliminate labor laws and farm programs you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group of course that believes you can do these things. Among them are a few other Texas oil millionaires and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid.

This might be the most important post of the day. substack.com/home/post/p-...
News reports are filled with stories celebrating Trump’s power, audacity and successes without accomplishments. America’s capitulant media is blinded by the fear of its owners. Most of its TV characters practice some mix of public exploitation, character assassination, delusional weaving and angry posturing, and call it news.

What they are preaching is a gospel of nonsense. What America’s broken media cannot see is that Trump is tipping over because he leaned over too far. What is tipping him over and weighing him down is the world’s richest child, who emasculates the president of the United States with each passing hour because the child seems to have made his puppet sing for all to see.

Strung out on ketamine, Weirdo #1, the richest infant in the world, and his gang of digital ‘Little Eichmanns’ have stormed into government offices like conquering Gestapo looking for Vichy and purging everyone else.

There is a paradox that Democrats should exploit, which is that as Musk’s popularity falls, the faith and extremism of his techno fascist base will harden and rise. Their resentments and grievances will grow as their defenestration looms. Their threats against Trump will grow and deepen as they are cut loose like latter day Ernst Röhms, used up, thrown away and forgotten as the glorious MAGA era marches forward.

The best thing about China's AI coup: American could realize how little money they did it for and how much of ours goes to feather the nests of our oligarch. substack.com/home/post/p-...
The CIA spent $18 billion building its propaganda machine called OpenAI, only for a $5 million Chinese upstart to surpass it overnight. The entire DeepSeek project cost less than the average salary of a big tech CEO in the US. If China is this efficient, no wonder its infrastructure is 300 years ahead of everyone else’s. The scary thing is Americans might realise they can’t have high speed rail and universal healthcare because rich arseholes are hoarding all the money.
