It REALLY says something about Fortnite that no matter what the crossover, I only played it once. 😆

Anyone else recently cancel their PlayStation Plus membership? Hopefully Sony is learning a valuable lesson about the importance of physical media (and listening to your clientele).

@professorjay.bsky.social & I are finally playing #MarioKartWorld for the channel, so we're discussing the most important subject: the logistics of Mario characters driving karts. It's the #Switch2 New Year's Eve Special! #streamersupport #youtube @streamerbot.bsky.social buff.ly/23vreYS

It's fitting that this is what we're doing as there's no better memory of the Switch for me than getting stomped by @professorjay.bsky.social‬ in Smash. It's the #NintendoSwitch Farewell Spectacular! #streamersupport #MarioKart #SmashBros #Nintendo buff.ly/giCiFud

Oh yeah, most American universities finish in early May and go back in late August.

Ooooh, nice! We’re thinking of squeezing in a beach trip at some point!

Hahaha, I hear that. I’m working on Disgaea 7 and the new Phantom Brave, so I’m buried in tactical RPGs at the moment!

Professor Jay @professorjay.bsky.social · 10/05/2025

Nice! I’ve already cracked into my backlog to play catch-up. What are you playing?

Happy end of the school year to my fellow educators and all the students out there!!! 🙌🏻 What do you all have planned for summer break? ☀️

That’s what I’ve heard, haha. Better wait until exams are over to try it. 😂

Might have to finally try Balatro!

Finally rolled credits on Mario & Luigi: Brothership last night! It was a fun journey, but I do feel like it dragged a bit at points. Anyone else play this one? What did you think?

That’s assuming they can keep up with demand. I remember the NES and SNES controllers being pretty tough to find.

Went running for the first time in forever today. Only about 1.25 miles, but I did end it with a short sprint! Now I just have to make it a habit!

26. Favorite Shiny - My first one I got at full odds, Metapod! And that concludes it! Happy to answer any other pokemon questions you guys have here as well!

22. Favorite In-Game Battle - This is going to sound wild, but for theming some I’m giving it to the fight against Oleana. All of her Pokémon are traditionally associated with beauty, and then she rounds it out with Garbodor. Turns out that she’s just trash on the inside. 😆

21. Favorite Soundtrack - The whole series is full of bangers, but for the nostalgia factor I’m going to give it to Fire Red and Leaf Green!

Favorite Route/Town/City - in terms of visuals alone, Ballonlea is just gorgeous. Not much going on, but it’s beautiful!

Professor Jay @professorjay.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

17. Favorite Champion - Blue Nothing is quite as satisfying as wiping that smug smile off of his face once and for all! Not to mention shaming him in front of his grandpa.

4. Favorite Spinoff Game - Pokémon TCG for Game Boy! The music and gameplay are perfection! So glad I was able to redownload this on 3DS while the store was still open!

3. Favorite Main Series Game - Pokémon HeartGold The grind is real but the vibes are unmatched. This is what Pokémon should be!

I really want to give this a go! I’ve heard that you have to download a ROM of Emerald first, then install this though, right? Are there instructions anywhere for those of us who’ve never emulated? 😆

If I’m not able to snap up the bundle, I’ll probably wait. There’s no way I’m paying $80 for Mario Kart. I’ll wait for a must-have title like Smash to appear. My backlog will keep me happy. 😃
