Look forward to an International Day of Disabled People where we might have something concrete to celebrate... 😬. Not disabled people's supposed 'resilience', 'inspirational' endeavours or 'ability' but effective realisation of our rights and entitlements. Too much to ask for?

I have been 'lucky' so far not to have had many rejections with my Hearing Dogs but much more awareness needed across services and facilities. #AssistanceDog

Excellent video from @mywayaccess.bsky.social on why we should be so concerned about the assisted dying bill and its implications for the value we accord to disabled people's lives. The #CRPD is a crucial roadmap to assisted living, fundamental entitlements & minimum standards that aren't being met.
